Later that next week shay went back out for a walk and found that behind the neighborhood was a small lake. It was farther through the woods but not that bad of a walk. She always loved the water. It was getting dark and it was a full moon.
Shay couldn't help but be fixated by the moon's light. She felt truely happy out here. The smell of water in the air, even though it was still humid. She'd started to get used to it.
She sat down on the edge of the lake and leaned back on her palms just looking up at the clear sky. It was filled with stars. Definitely more than she had ever seen in Seattle. It was gorgeous. It wasn't so bad here. Her parents didn't really call too often. She understood and wasn't really homesick. This new life was totally different from the one she had been recently living. She like this one though. She did miss her friends. They'd call at least three times a week, it seemed, making sure Shay wasn't getting into any trouble and never left her alone about Jay.
Jayson... That's all she wanted. She kinda wished he was here beside her. She felt safe and at home next to him. He had been a jerk before but he never stopped amazing her with his immediate kindness. He was a gentle creature. But in the back of her mind something was screaming at her to stay away and to be his enemy. Something else seemed to tell her the opposite. She wasn't even really sure if it was in her head but occationally it was stronger than the voice in the back of her mind.
Shay laid down in the grass. Listening to the sounds of the night. It was so relaxing. And soon she drifted asleep. And almost an instant later she had a dream. Or nightmare.

Shay woke up by the lake. It wasn't completely dark like it was when she fell asleep but yet it was an eery violet sky. She stood up and turned towards the woods to find a pair of glowing green eyes looking at her unblinking. She was startled but know it was best not to show her herself as stunned or off gaurd. She kept her eyes locked on the green and no where else.
She lifted her chin up with confidence not showing weakness. She knew this creature was here to kill her. She felt it with everything within her. So all that came to mind was keep her stance until it was ready to attack.
It stepped out of the shadows of the trees. Extremely tall about two inches above six feet and had this powerful aura surrounding him almost glowing. He wore a black V neck shirt with dark jeans. He was so strikingly handsome that she almost let her jaw drop open. He took a couple more step farther.
With shay still not moving he appeared infront of her. She took a step back slipping off the edge. She didn't remember being that close to the edge. But she slipped and before she could think of what to do she was pulled into what felt like a brick wall. Her eyes were closed for the fall but then she realized she was being warmed. She opened her eyes to have the creature less than an inch away from her face with a smirk on his face. She had a chill run down her spin. She didn't even know that she had been cold until she felt his hot flesh touch her bare arms to balance her on her feet infront of him.
He didn't let go and shay caught herself holding her breath through the whole incounter. He must have noticed cause he was still holding her as she swayed back and forth from the oxygen deprivation.
Shay wanted to get away from him as fast as possible. He was scathing her but there was no way she'd be able to get out of his grip. She was paralyzed.
All the sudden she looked past the creature to ficus on a blur in the edge of the woods. Something was aimed right at her. There was a excruciating pain as the dagger plunged into her side. Gasping and pulling away from the creature. He held onto her and lowered her to the ground and pushed the dagger farther into her side. She felt blood puddling around her. Every second was harder to breathe.
The creaure had an evil smile spread across his face as he held the dagger in place. She clawed at his hands but it was no use. He twist the dagger deeper and deeper. And as her breaths got shorter and shorter she closed her eyes hoping for the pain to stop...
