Shay woke up from a dreamless night for the first time in weeks. At least she seemed to be comfortable enough to sleep but it was probably because of the long flight and the lay overs. But she knew better. She must feel really comfortable even though she should feel really uneasy with Jayson so close and how she feels the need to stay away from him. She knew he was trouble. She shouldn't be able to let her guard down so fast, easily.
She has always known that no one can be trusted especially someone like Jayson. He is big and no doubt dangerous. She needs to stay away from him at all cost.
After a while of trying to sort things out in her mind she decided to get up and take a refreshing shower. Maybe she could relax for a bit in a nice hot shower.
Shay grabbed her toiletries and headed down the hall to the bathroom and thankfully found towels in one of the cabnets. She started the water, testing it before getting undressed and hopping in. She warmed the water a little more to her perfect temperature and then shed her clothes and went to the sink to brush her teeth. When she finished she grabbed her shampoo and conditionor along with her favorite scent of bady wash.
Just standing and enjoying the feeling of the hot water running over her body. She reached for her wash cloth to lather it with her soap. And she realized she had forgotten her razer and shave gel so she hopped out and she heard a knock and a door open, no doubt the front door. She heard Jayson's voice talking to Betty and she ran back to the shower feeling as if she was spying even though it wasn't like she was easedropping.
Jayson could hear the shower running thinking about how it was Shay in there. He also heard her wet feet patter back into the shower. He knew she heard him come in but he wondered if that was why she was out of the shower. Well, with that thought gone as soon as Betty came in the kitchen he kissed her cheek and pulled out some breakfast food to cook for them. His guess that shay would be hungry when she woke up. He thought he could woe her with this simple act.
Shay finished up in the shower and wrapped her towel around her hoping she can make it back to her room without being seen. So she opened the door checking to make sure no one was around. She closed the door when she heard Betty ask Jayson to get her cane from her room. When she opened the door she looked both ways as if about to cross a street and make a run for it. She collided right into a wall, so she thought. Of course until she looked up into those eyes that kept her transfixed and realized that there was a loud thud from the cane hitting the ground. When Betty came around the corner to see what happened she saw Jayson holding Shay by both arms up against his body as if they ran into each other. Betty just turned back around to give them privacy.
Shay looked away to blush and Jayson grabbed her chin so she would be looking up at him. The cute blush on her face made him want to kiss her so bad and before he could think better of it he leaned over to meet her lips with his. She seemed to not have minded at first until he pulled her closer to him and she felt him hard against her hip and she pulled away with her hands still on his chest with her towel less than an inch from exposing her bare breasts to him.
Shay saw where his gaze lead to and she scoffed at him and side stepped him so fast that he didn't even know she had moved until he heard a door slam shut. He cursed as he realized that he'd just screwed up. Why do I have to be so stupid?
When Shay slamed the door all she could do is just fall back against the door. She could feel her whole body heat up with fury as she thought about what Jayson had done. What an asshole. He's just embarrassed her twice in less than ten seconds apart from each other. What a record. What nerve did he had to kiss her?
Why did you have to pull away? If you would have...
If I would have what? I did it because I shouldn' t be near him at all.
"Boy, you better go to her and apologize for what you did. I can't believe you. You really are an asshole," Betty snapped at Jayson as he walked into the kitchen to meet her angry gaze.
"She'll just slam the door in my face," he said with a defeated look on his face.
"Well, you deserve it. But that doesn't mean you still shouldn't go and apologize to her," she said as she continued his cooking before the accident with Shay. "Maybe this is all a mistake and you two really should be enemies," she said under her breath. But Jay heard it anyways.
Maybe she's right. It's all a mistake. "Yeah, okay, let me finish cooking and then I'll go apologize."
