A/N- Sorry I just updated everything together. Combined the chapter parts to one chapter. if that makes sense. But i hope to keep updating. Sorry it has been SSOOOOOOOOOOOOO long since I last updated.

Jayson woke up to empty arms. Calming himself he sensed her presence in the house which instantly made him feel better. Getting out of bed and stubbing into the bathroom, he pulled his pants down to feel an intense stare on him. Not feeling her presence so close, he instantly pulled his pants up and turned to find Shay taking a bath in his tub. Of course not that he minded, but he was a little embarrassed.
With his cheeks cherry red he bowed his head to apologize and practically ran out of the bathroom. It's not like he was ashamed of his size by any means, but he wasn't used to women being in his home. Betty came over occasionally, but she never went past the entrance of the hallway.
"I'm so sorry Shay." Jay said through the closed door. His face still hot from what happened. Maybe he should go into the kitchen and make some breakfast and fix himself some orange juice.

Shay just sat there blushed as she watched Jayson in disbelief at his current action. He looked over without a word and flushed while pulling himself together. He didn't say a word until out of the bathroom and the door closed. For some odd reason she wasn't mad or upset at him. She could understand how he had done it mindlessly. I forgive him. She thought that was strange considering that yesterday she would have yelled and screamed at him.
She finished soaking and decided it was time to face the accident and eat some food. To Shay's surprise she walked into the kitchen to find Jay filling the table with waffles, bacon, sausage, jelly, eggs, and tons of fruit. ORANGE JUICE! Shay let a wide smile conquer her. He just moved with such grace. She often wish she could move fluid as such.
Jay looked up to the greates sight he ever thought he'd see. Shay had her hair in a messy, wet bun with her wavy strands cascading around her face. She had one of his t-shirts and gym shorts on. She must have went scrounging for something to wear. 'You are in my favorite shirt, makes it even more my favorite.' He could not help but keep staring until he say Shay's blush with her hand reaching to cover it. He realized what he had sent to her subconsciously. Something he needed to control and also get used to.
Walking over to the table Jay pulled the chair out for Shay to take a seat. "Thank you," she said with a smile, "It smells amazing and looks it too." She couldn't help but stare up at him through her lashes as he lingered so close to her. He smelled so divine . Closing her eyes she let out a low, soft moan at the sweet invasion.
Finishing breakfast with nothing but small talk, Jay realized that Betty would probably be there soon looking for Shay. It won't be pleasant until Betty puts eyes on Shay's unmarked body.

"Where in the Hell is my granddaughter?!" Betty yelled befor opening the front door to Jay's home.
"What have you done to her?! I told you to protect her not let her get lost!" Betty continued as she walked into the kitchen and before starting another tirade she spotted Shay. "Oh thank goodness you are alright." she gave Shay a quick hug before glaring at Jayson.
Even though he was like a grandson to her she still would kill him for harming her true flesh and blood. "Errr... Jayson!" Betty barked.
"I didn't do anything I swear," Jay spoke with his hands rendered over his head. She may be old, but she could still kick his butt.

"So..." Shay stuttered while Jay was sitting at the dinner table at Betty's. He was playing a card game by himself. Boring I know.
"So what?" Jayson didn't look up.
Shay stared at him for a second until he looked up at her. She had her arms crossed leaning up against the wall. Now he didn't want to look away.
"Tomorrow." Shay said as if she couldn't say more than one word at a time. The last month had felt as if nothing else existed. It had been peaceful after the encounter with Kevyn. Now it was time to basically start all over. She felt so at ease here with just Jay and Betty.
"What about it?" Jay sputtered as his mind wondered a different direction. He shook his thoughts straight and continued to look at her confused. She gave him her signature "duh" glare and soon he realized what she was talking about. "Okay... So school starts tomorrow. You are nervous, are you?" All he could do was smirk at her.
Shay rolled her eyes at him. Of course she was nervous, and she wasn't going to give him that satisfaction. "No, I just wanted to see where we stood on those grounds."
Even though they hadn't done anything serious since they slept together in Jayson's bed, she was not sure if they were just good friends or maybe a little more.. She didn't know.
"What do you mean? We are friends. Even though I talk to you and cuddle on the couch to watch movies doesn't mean it's normal for me. I've gotten comfortable with you and everything doesn't mean I'm a person you want to hang around in that horrible place. I'm not popular or even semi acknowledgeable." He said going back to his game.
"I don't have a problem being seen with you. I'm sure you have some friends in school." Shay said a little sad for him that he did not seem to have any he talked to while she's been here.
Jay took a deep breath before he stood up and stepped closer to Shay. "You are my only friend along with Betty." With that he walked past her to leave.
Shay turned to watch him leave. There was something playing with her head. 'I don't want you to leave me.' why was it always so easy for him, but I couldn't keep myself away?
Following his out the door she looked hoping to see him. He hadn't actually left. His bike was in his driveway. Was he in the house? She walk next door to knock and walk in. He was no where inside.
She sat on the curb wondering where he could have went without his bike. After a couple minutes of a no show she laid down in the grass, closing her eyes she tried to think of all the places Jay would go. He wouldn't go to the garage without his bike. It was too long of a drive for him to just walk. Hmmm.. She thought she'd just give up until she remember the first couple of days she was here that she found the lake..
"Why didn't I think that a long time ago," she said out loud to herself.
She ran to the lake. Looking around at the edge, she may wouldn't have seen him if she didn't go around it a couple of yards. He seemed to be in the same exact place he found her.
For some reason seeing him with the sun making his hair shine beautifully, the rays making the water sparkle like the glint in his eyes as he looked up to see Shay walking towards him made this place something special. 'You're like a gorgeous angel.' Shay sent subconsciously. After realization she wasn't disappointed about their connection. She wanted to comfort him and make him feel like he meant something to her.
"I didn't mean to upset you. I'm so sorry for what I said to upset you..." Jay stood up and was in front of her in a second. With such a sudden movement Shay stopped talking. Holding her breath she decided to continue. "I-I ree-eally so-sor..."
"Shhhh," Jay said pushing the hair away from her face. 'You're the angel, not me.'
She couldn't believe he could say that about himself. He was an angel in every single way. Not being able to stop herself she reach to touch his lips with hers. He closed his eyes slowly as if savoring every movement Shat made. Closing her own eyes she leaned into him giving him her all in this one blistering kiss.

School. Weird when she thought about how different this summer has been compared to the others in the past. It wasn't as bad as she thought in the beginning.
Getting ready wasn't a long process like it may have been back in Seattle. Shay would have taken a forty-five minute shower, twenty to find the perfect outfit, thirty on her hair and another twenty-five on her make up and last minute details.
Today was different but yet this whole summer has been different for her. A new life. She felt older, which of course she was from a year ago but even from just a couple months ago she had grown as a person. Grown closer to Jayson. She thought to herself. With that thought she looked into her mirror to see the biggest giddy grin on her face. Never has she ever been so happy. Before she would have said everything was perfect but there was something about being here with Betty and Jayson that brought her to life and into her own. With this realization she couldn't remember a time where she was this happy. She had an awesome grandmother that seemed to be as young as she was even though she didn't look it. And Jay. Mmm Jay.. She cooed to herself. He was perfect. Yeah he wasn't her have crazy wild friends but they grew to be good friends. That's all we are.. Shay repeated in her head.

Walking into the living room with her backpack hanging on her shoulder she saw Jayson in all his glory. He was not specially dressed or anything but she must say that he looked good in a pair of light jeans and a black v neck under one of his button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up. They were all fitted and emphasized his well tones muscles underneath.
Betty came to Shay's font and grabbed her into a big hug as if she were going to her first day of kindergarten all over again. In that moment she thought of her mom that day. Weird how she didn't think so much about her parents. Of course she was happy to hear about their good travels. She was used to not seeing her parents everyday and they left her for a weekend or a week at a time. Sometimes maybe even three weeks at a time. They called regularly and the maid took care of anything needed for Shay.
Betty let go and had that parental sparkle on her eyes that were filled with unshed tears. "Okay okay. You two need to go on to school. Don't want to be late for the first day." She started pushing us out the door.
When they were outside Betty was standing at the door as they walked away. "You want to take the car or the bike?" Jay asked. Uhh she thought.
"The bike is only a one seater though." Shay commented tilting her head in confusion. She walked to the car.
Jay followed. "Or we can go in separate vehicles if you would be more comfortable." He loved his bike and almost went nowhere without it but right now he hoped she would say the car would be fine together. He went to her and was only a foot and a half from her. Shay reacted as soon as he started moving. She waited and anticipated. They hadn't kissed anymore this summer or really did anything too crazy since the last time. She let all the times they spent together run through her head. Mmmm how she wanted to kiss Jay. She licked her lips not quite realizing the closeness of Jay stepping closer staring down at her lips. She closed her eyes and stepped into him.
Kiss me she thought and as soon as she thought it Jay stepped away to the driver side of the car and hoped in with Shay just standing there. She felt stupid and disappointed. Why wouldn't he kiss her? He always wants to kiss her because she felt it. She knew he wanted her more and more as days passed. She felt the same and they had to be together but maybe he was pulling away because he was afraid it was a lie or maybe that the fight against the world would be too hard for them? Hmmm she could think of a million different reasons but instead of dreading it longer she got in the car to go to school. She should just worry about this last year and get away. They didn't have to be together for the world that is such bull. Just forget about him she said to herself.
