A/N- This is the first update of all the stories that I didn't already have written. The first part I've added to the story for three years. It isn't as long and I don't think that the following chapters will be as long as the past 5. They were multiple parts but I'm not wanting to separate the chapters to be broken up in parts. BUT I hope you all stick with me! I'm excited about writing again. I've probably said it before but I really want feedback. I'd like help writing my story. Would LOVE to read what you guys predict with happen or what you'd like to come next. I'm kinda just going with the flow.
~^v^~Shay and Jayson make it school. As they park an step out of the car no one skips a beat. People are hugging each other and chatting nonstop. Shay didn't notice anything different from any other school she'd been to. She put on her friendly face and walked towards the front doors. After getting her schedule she went to her homeroom as the school gets situated.
The day consisted of getting books from the library and visiting class schedules and getting the run down of how classes will go. Still nothing different from what she is used to. The only difference was that she didn't have her friends in every class or anyone to sit with at lunch. Jay was not anywhere to be seen. He must have a different lunch than her.
'How is your day?' She sent to Jay. Without an immediate response she pulled out her cell to see if he text her. There was nothing. Why is he not responding? I'm sure he is okay.
The last block of the day. Only an hour and half left. Sigh.... This is the longest day ever, she thought. 'Jay are you okay? You haven't responded and it is making me nervous.' He still didn't answer. She sighed and just let it roll off. There was nothing she could do. She didn't know his schedule or where he would be. Until she remembered that there was the votec building in the building next door. She excused herself to the bathroom and exited the school through the back gym doors. Walking over to the mechanic yard she began to hear a group of guys talking and laughing. As she walked around the corner she realized the guys were taking a break. She began to approach them until she heard someone else still working on something in the shop. Instead she followed the noise.
"Hey you can't be in here?" Said one the guys from outside. Shay turned to confront him but before she could speak Jay was in front of her. "It's alright. Se is here with me."
The guys's face was nothing of acceptance. She could tell he wanted to rebel against her being here. he just nodded and turned away. Jay turned around, "What are you doing here? And how did you know where I was?"
"Why didn't you answer me?" She demanded. Jay's face turned apologetic. "I was busy." He replied. Shay was furious with his answer. She stormed off to go back to class. She was gone for too long anyway. Jay was fine and should could see that she she made her way back to her class to finish off the day.
Shay walked out of the school towards the car and spotted Jay was leaned up against it with his arms crossed and sunglasses on. She noticed no one ever walked close to him or did anything but walked fast passed him. As she came closer to him she evinced her confidence. People did not pay her any attention until Kevyn stepped into her path. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'm just fine. What do you care?" She retorted and tried to side step him. She looked past him to where Jay was and saw him making his way over. "Can I grab a ride with you?" She asked Kevyn. He looked puzzled but he nodded and held out his arm for her. As she looped her arm through his she glanced back to Jay and saw him stop with a shocked look on his face. 'How could you go with him?' He asked her. She didn't respond. He hopped into the car and beat them home to wait for Shay.
Jayson just stood leaning against the back of the car waiting for Shay to return home. He was getting nervous when they didn't pull up soon after he did. 'Where are you Shay?' He was going crazy over her not coming home immediately. Shay wouldn't answer him may he'd answer his phone call. He dialed in her number about to press call when he saw a black 350 Z pull up. He stood tall as he saw Kevyn get out of the passenger side to open the door for Shay to step out of the driver side. She had a giant grin on her face. Jay was relieved when he saw she was perfect. He himself caught himself from grinning just from seeing her. When she glanced over towards Jay her grin faded. Her eyes changed to her dark grey. He didn't know what he could do. The only thing he wanted to do was tell her how sorry he was for being inconsiderate and a giant jerk. She looked away and her smile reappeared. Kevyn touched her shoulder asking her if she was okay and Shay just nodded. "I would like to give you a ride again." Kevyn stated. "We'll just have to see." With that she made her way to the house. Passing Jay she walked into the house and greeted her grandmother who had snacks out in the kitchen. Jay followed her in after Kevyn drove off. He had a stoic look on his face.
"So how was the first day of school? Did you make new friends?" Betty asked with a hopeful smile. Jay sat at the table not saying a word. Shay started stuffing her face and just nodded. "Today was fine. It was a little boring but when classes really start I'm sure it'll be better. 'Shay listen...' Jay reached for a cracker the same time as Shay hoping for her to look up at him. instead she removed her hand and reached for some cheese. 'I have nothing to say to you.'
Betty asked us about what we wanted for dinner. Shay could tell she knew something was up but she didn't pry. Shay was grateful. "Anything is fine. But I have to start reading for tomorrow's classes. I'll be in my room." 'Don't follow me 'I'll be too busy.' she sent to Jay. She didn't bother looking back as she left for her room. She plopped onto the bed not really wanting to do anything but lie down and do nothing. Started thinking about what happened to her the other day when Kevyn and Jayson had that confrontation. What happened to her? How did she do all of that? They weren't even surprised. Why is she able to telepathically communicate with Jayson? She could feel the difference between them. She needed answers.
