Birthday night: Part 2

I froze in my tracks as I gazed at the stunning woman standing just a few feet away from me. Her face is illuminated by the fairy lights that surround her. My Y/n, my princess, my baby.

(Imagine it in winter)

I finally take a step forward, stopping in front of the woman who stole my heart. The winter breeze caresses her face, causing her hair to flow with it; she's stunning. I can't help but admire the woman in front of me. How did I get so lucky to have someone like her in my life?

She looks me in the eyes and extends her hand for me to take. I place my hand in hers without hesitation, and her smile widens in response. She suddenly pulls me towards her. "Happy birthday, handsome." She whispers in my ears and moves away from me. I wrap my arms around her waist and rest my forehead against hers. "Thank you very much, baby. Is this why you haven't called or texted me in the last two days?" I ask. "I apologize, Taehyung. It was supposed to be a surprise for you, that's why." she replies. "You remember this is where you proposed to me to be your girlfriend," she continues. "Yes, I'll never forget that moment. It was the most wonderful day of my life." I smile as I recall that day.

When I hear Y/n say, "Mr. Kim Taehyung, I love you with all my heart," I'm taken out of my thoughts. When I hear those three words from her mouth, my heartbeat quickens. She loves me. She loves me. Oh my God, she actually loves me!! This is the best birthday I've ever had. I can't believe she loves me. But now it's her turn to be surprised.

Y/n's Pov

I said it; I'd been thinking about this moment all week, and now he finally knows how I feel about him. He's the only one I need. But why isn't he speaking up? Did I say something incorrectly? Oh my God, Did I screw it up??

"Tae-" before I can ask, he picks me up and spins us around, making me squeal with surprise. "I love you too. I love you too. " Putting me down, he kisses my lips, causing me to sigh in relief. "I am the luckiest man on the planet. Thank you very much, princess." I just smile at my boyfriend, but I notice he's nervous about something.

"Look at the sky, there are so many stars tonight." Before I can ask why he is nervous, he says, I look up, and yes, the sky is full of stars. It's as if a river of stars is making this night even more memorable. "Look at that star, Taehyung; it's the brightest of the bunch." I point this out, but I receive no response. I look beside me, unable to believe what I see as tears well up in my eyes. The guy I like is on his knee in front of me, holding a ring. Oh no, don't tell me he's going to-

"Y/n Banerjee or should I say library girl. Three years ago, you stole my heart by being exactly who you are. You have been the reason I smile, and you have taken care of me in every way possible. I am a better person with you by my side. I am looking forward to the day when my last name will become ours, and our love will give a birth to a new family. You are the one I want to be for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer. My voice is trembling, and my heart beats at a furious pace since I hope you will say me yes and make me the luckiest man on Earth. My heart, will you marry me?"

Tears stream down my cheeks as I kneel in front of him and literally jump into his arms while chanting "Yes, yes, yes. Oh, my goodness, yes." I pull back, grabbing his hand, and kiss him with everything I have. He removes the fake engagement ring from my finger and replaces it with the real one, kissing it before releasing my hand.

He stands up and hugs me before pulling back and resting his forehead on mine. "Mrs. Kim." The sound of it makes me giggle. I hear clapping and cheering behind us and look back to see all my friends, Taehyung's family, and, to my surprise, my own family. "CONGRATS TO MR. KIM AND THE SOON-TO-BE MRS. KIM."

My life can't get any better than this.
