Chapter 4

Lucy’s POV.

It was Saturday and a very nice day, it was 11am.  Normally, I wake up at 9 or 10 but I wonder why today I woke up at such a time today.  I rolled out of bed and strolled downstairs to get some breakfast; I could smell the lovely smell of pancakes and syrup. Yum.

‘’Morning mom, I’m guessing we’re having pancakes and syrup for breakfast?’’ I said happily.

‘’Yes, me, your father and Josh have already eaten our breakfast but yours is still warm.  What are you doing today then?’’ My mom sighed.

‘’I’m meeting Louise and Charlotte, I’m going to ask them if we can go to the beach today because it looks so nice outside.’’ I said.

‘’Okay, well have fun.  I’m going shopping now with Josh and your father’s gone work so I’ll leave you 10 dollars on the counter.’’ My mom said.

‘’Okay, bye mom and thanks.’’ I replied.

I finished my pancakes off then rushed upstairs to find my iPhone, it wasn’t on my dressing table but under all my clothes near my bed.  I better clean that up before my mom pulls a hissy fit about it.  I turned my phone on and it said I had one new message, I was wondering who it was from, most probably Charlotte or Louise.

The id number was saved as ‘char<3’ so I knew it was her.

‘’Hey, can we go to the beach today cos it’s so hot outside.  I went out to check, Louise said she’ll come so will you?xxx’’

‘’Hey Char, course I’ll come.  I was gonna ask you if you wanted to go to the beach but since you asked first:p xxx’ I sent and I waited 3 minutes for a reply.

‘’be ready by 12, me and Louise will come to pick you in my car btw wear a bikini, pink so we’ll all be matching:D xxx’

‘’Okay;cya in a bit xxx’ I replied.

I decided I might as well start getting ready now so I got into the shower and got out within 20minutes.  I put my pink bikini on, the one with the spaghetti straps and I put my short shorts on and a pink tank top which was an open back one, I wore my hot pink flip flops and got my beach bag out of my closet.  I put my sun cream and sunglasses in the bag.  Then I put my hair in a messy bun because I really couldn’t be bothered to straighten it again and I didn’t put make up on so when I go into the water my eyes won’t sting.  Well I guess I’m ready so I’ll just go sit in the lounge and wait.

20 minutes later, Char and Lolo got here,  I didn’t even know they were outside till I heard loud honking, obviously coming from Charlotte’s red convertible.

I stepped outside feeling a tiny breeze hit my skin; I walked to Charlotte’s car and got in.  The beach was 25minutes away from my house but there was no traffic so that shortened the time.

We finally got to the beach and saw it was quite packed so we tried to find a spot that no-one was sitting in.  Luckily we did find a spot, a great spot actually, no shade just the sun beaming down on our skin.  We can easily get a tan here.  I then noticed Summer was here with all her cheerleading friends, I swear she looked naked.  I didn’t really want her noticing me in my bikini, I felt quite conscious about my body, I don’t mind if my two best friends see my body in a bikini or people I’ll never see again but Summer and her friends had very nice figures which made me feel worse.
