Chapter 8.

I had woken up earlier than usual so I just plugged my headphones into my ears and started listening to Rihanna.  I just listened to the song and stared up at the ceiling.  I was thinking of what Tyler wanted to tell me.  What if he really did like me and Char and Lolo were right.  The kiss, the rose and note, the flowers and so much more and I was just being naive and not noticing anything.  If he did actually tell me he liked me, I really don’t know how I would react.  I think I’m starting to like him but I really don’t want to because he’s such a player.

It was actually time for me to start getting ready so I got into a quick shower and washed myself.  I dried myself and put on some shorts and a tank top.  It was another hot day today and I absolutely love it.  I quickly straightened my hair and put it into a ponytail.  I put on my blue high top converses to match my tank top.  I got my bag ready and turned my phone on.  I had a couple of texts from Charlotte saying ‘’I can’t pick you up from your house today because I’m going into school late today xx’’ Who’s going to take me to school now?  I didn’t bother calling Louise because I knew she’d most probably go school with her mom.  Oh yeah, I can get my mom to take me if she’s not busy.  I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs to get some breakfast and ask my mom to drop me to school.  When I got downstairs, my phone started ringing to I looked at the caller id and saw that it was Tyler.  Why was he calling?  I pressed accept.

‘’Hey, Lucy.  I’m outside waiting for you so can you please hurry up.’’ He seemed to be teasing but why was he outside waiting for me?  To be honest I wasn’t even that hungry so I just decided to open my front door to see if Tyler was playing around with me but he really wasn’t.  I shut the door behind me and walked over to his car and got in.

‘’Why did you come to pick me up?’’ I asked curiously.

‘’Well Charlotte said you needed a ride since she wasn’t coming in till later so I came.’’ He said with a smirk on his face.  Why was he smirking?  Wow, I do ask myself a lot of questions.

‘’Are you serious?  She told you to come get me?  She doesn’t even know that we made up’’ I said.

‘’Oh yeah, well she called me and told me and I told her that we made up.  She seemed calmer then she was yesterday.’’

‘’Oh’’ What if I wasn’t talking to Tyler, Charlotte still would have taken it upon herself to sort out a ride for me.  I could have easily and happily ask my mom.

We got to school pretty quick but the car ride was ever so awkward.  When he parked his car, I jumped out, said thanks and tried to get into school before he could stop me.  I really didn’t want Summer seeing me; she would just start even more rumours.   Urgh, I hate her, ever since she left me to become popular.  We used to be best friends until we got into High School and she started being rude to practically everyone, accept the Jocks and her cheerleader friends.  Luckily, I found Charlotte and Louise because if I didn’t I would have had no-one that I actually trusted.  I had friends but not best friends like Char and Louise.

‘’Lucy, wait.’’ Tyler shouted, I turned around to see him running over to me.  I walked pretty far from his car and I didn’t even notice it.

‘’Yes?’’ I sighed since I wanted to get to my lockers before the bell rang and I also didn’t want to be with Tyler just in case Summer sees us and starts more rumours because she’s jealous or something.
