The bustling crowd in the marketplace quieted as a few people noticed my presence and curtsied. I quickly hid my displeasure, forcing a smile as I urged them to continue shopping. The rest of the market soon followed suit, bowing as I passed.

They were talking about the kingdom's troubles and hoping that our marriage would save everyone.

How will a marriage save millions? As if I'm the one feeding them. If only the heavens had taken Caleigh too, I'd have less to worry about.

"Here we are, your highness. Lupine Luxuries, the famous jewelry shop in the city." The omega announced and opened the door to the shop.

A few nobles were looking around and curtsied as they saw me.

"Prince Alaric! I have heard about your wedding. May I assist you in finding the perfect ring to give to Alpha Caleigh?" He must be the shop owner, he curtsied and pulled out enticing rings in front of me.

"Prince Alaric! I've heard about your upcoming wedding. May I assist you in finding the perfect ring for Alpha Caleigh?" The shop owner curtsied, eagerly presenting a selection of rings.

"Do you perhaps have the Hermaphrodite ring?" I eyed him, if he didn't have it then he must have said so already. I have visited 5 jewelry shops and I cannot find that diάole ring!

"My apologies your highness, we have no—"

I sighed loudly and left his shop.

His pathetic voice echoed, muttering apologies. But he cannot make up for the time that I already lost.

"Your majesty, may I suggest why not hire someone to make the ring, Alpha Caleigh wants?" The omega failed to stay silent.

I stopped in my tracks, she indeed was right. But it wouldn't be original now does it?

"Your intentions might be good, but the ring wouldn't be an original. Although the materials are real, it's a duplicate."

"Forgive me, Your Majesty. I was not thinking."

"Clearly," I said and walked deeper into the marketplace. When we saw another jewelry shop, I turned to the omega and told her to ask the owner, if there was then she'd call me if not, I'm not going to waste time.

She went inside while I looked around the city. I guess they are pretty well off still, even if the crops are slowly declining. Food and starvation will soon befall us, and I haven't had yet the slightest idea of how I can not let the kingdom starve.

The crops we had planted are yet to grow. Asking for our neighboring kingdoms might help, but I doubt they can last long.

Someone caught my eye—a beautiful woman who stood out even in this crowded market. She looked like an exotic merchant, exuding an air of mystery and charm. Her fine, flowing garments and the subtle shimmer in her eyes added to her allure, as did the unusual pendant around her neck, which sparked a vague memory.

Where did I see that pendant again? Oh well, how would I remember? I already have too much on my mind.

She sets up a stall that quickly draws attention, not just because of her beauty but because of the rare and magical items she offers.

My feet moved of their own accord, drawn by the glimmer of rare, magical items that sparkled in the sunlight.

Would she probably have the hermaphrodite ring?

"Your Highness, they do not have it."

For once the same old reply didn't bother me. But I took it as a signal to walk to her stand. A few men offered help, enticed by her unreal beauty.
