"You seem a little upset, did something happen, are you okay?" Sandra inquired, "yeah I am! He was being all mean and..." She took a pause, " totally not the person from two days ago, that one seemed dumb!" Efya mumbled while crushing the throw pillow on her chest, she slammed herself in the couch.
"And there I was thinking he could be a womanizer?" Nancy uttered while lying back down on the fluffy carpet. " okay! Can any of you get me to follow? Seriously he can go to prison if he was to call me out as a witness, how do you both know him?"
"How did you not notice him? He was one of the best men!" Nancy took the liberty to let her in on the incident, "I don't know! They were all too hot to focus on a single face duh!" Sandra stated sarcastically... "Was that seriously your sister?" Nancy inquired when Efya mumbled a no, "it was him, Omar, From Facebook." she stated.
"Girl you've got to work on your temperaments, on both sides! He probably meant nothing serious with his gestures!" Nancy lectured.
"Yeah... I guess! I only met a handsome dude, his presence really speaks you know! He's too cute!" Sandra added when Efya stood on her feet pacing steadily.
"Oh yeah! A cute guy he is! He introduced himself to me, and I did same, then he goes 'didn't ask you!' I literally said or did nothing wrong to him!" Efya vexed.
"Oh, Savage!" Sandra ridiculed as Nancy joined in, Efya threw the cushions at them and headed to her room. "Sorry girl!" Nancy began, "Hey , he's probably mad because of what I told him two days ago..." Nancy and Sandra took to their screen time afterwards. Sandra found Efya's phone and went through her messages she wasn't shocked to see so many unanswered ones.
"And you look at this guy here and him, which one looks more of a philanderer?"
Sandra's comparison got Nancy to second think about her hasty conclusion she made earlier.
"Fair enough!" She responded. She checked through her contacts and noticed that Efya lied to them, Gladys had called, they planned to cease the nettled trouble for their friend and make a return call to her. Gladys made an immediate pick up, and all riled up already, she burst, cussing at them unknown to her who could be on the line.
"Let me reach your end and I'll beat the hell out of you? I took my time to make a call to your f*cking ass, worrying about ya, and why you couldn't make it to church, and you stupidly cut it off, you're hungry for my crazy side aren't ya? f*ck ya ass you hear me!"
All the time the Ladies had it on loudspeaker and listening from a distance, Efya stood in front of her room and listened too, "h, hello sister Gladys it's not Efya, it's us Nancy and Sandra!"
"Hi! Sister Gladys!" Sandra's fright surfaced in her nervous response, Gladys sighed "f*ck y'all okay... Where is she? Which one of you cut my damn call earlier?" She inquired when Efya snatched the phone from them.
"It was me okay! I'm sorry, I was still at church when it came, that's why I couldn't pick up!" Efya headed to the kitchen when the two sneakily tiptoed behind her to eavesdrop.
"Shut your lying mouth, will you? Don't you dare sh*t me! Which church service are you blabbing about huh, I give no sh*t bout the delusions you pen down, get real with me and stick to the g*d-d*mn truth when you're relating with me alright? Seriously you're pressing my button now! I've got kids okay don't get on my nerves right Now, you hear me! You better get your attitude together with me! Get ya black ass of my phone now, and don't repeat that again!"
Gladys hanged up on her, as Efya gulped down a glass of water. She slammed the glass on the floor afterwards, when the two gasped aloud.
"You gon' hurt yourself girl... Step away from that!" Sandra and Nancy rushed to her aid. Efya squeezed her eyes tight, entirely peeved, and vented. "Seriously! Please don't do that again? I know why I didn't pick up okay! I also know why I didn't call her back.
"Sorry girl! I really thought she would get mad if you didn't return the call, that's why we called her... We're sorry okay!" Sandra apologized as Nancy cleared the mess.
Sighing heavily, Efya held her forehead in her palms, "just don't get involved in my personal issues with her again... I know why I do certain things okay, thanks Nancy!"
"Oh don't mention, it's the least I can do for my safety!" Nancy replied sticking her eyes at her, "and of course you too, can you get mad decently and nicely from now on? Slamming things ain't the best!"
They proceeded to the hall to continue watching their show, after a while, Efya headed back to the kitchen to fix their lunch. She pieced together all the comments she had received lately about her writing whiles at it. Gladys' husband, Kevin, joined her in the hall and expressed his concern about her relationship with her sister.
"Trust me it's better for her! When she finally realizes the importance of life, she'll make the most of reality. I don't give a damn about the church she didn't attend! She knows that's the only way to assure those hooligans hovering around the property that she's fine!" She responded a little worked up, Kevin slowly walked behind her, and wrapped his arms around her.
" I understand where you're coming from, but if you take time to talk to her this way, I believe she'll understand too, besides she has been pretty much obedient..." Kevin mediated.
"Alright! I will do better next time... She's too open minded to not understand why I'm doing this, I give no damn about that property! I only want to make sure it doesn't leave her hand!"
Lien, her son brought her phone to her and detailed her on the caller, it was their mom's elder sister, Kevin excused them and left with Lien to stalk before their lunch would be served...
Koffi leaned against the sink whiles old J was fixing lunch, with his eyes closed and a moment of mulling, he let out a big secret. "I hit on her two days ago, but as always, I got rejected, twice this time, Hugh! Goodness, feels good to finally say it!" He rubbed his upper arms whereas old J gave him his attention, taking a moment to process the source.
"Which one?" Old J inquired, " the landlady, Efya... She thought I was, a philanderer! Maybe she wasn't wrong in thinking that way, I mean, I met her at a bachelorette party and obviously didn't look serious and different!"
Old J smiled and tipped him off, "you might have rushed, a second study of her, and you'll see her heart out, she's a very open-minded lady, her conduct and mannerisms aren't difficult to identify their Match, try again next time!"
"Yeah! I definitely rushed, the Atmosphere then, wasn't helping either but... To try again?" He stated, when old J laughed. "You can't? Or are you going to give up again? Like always huh?" He questioned as he replied talking about his plan to create a room for their personalities study first, in Deutsch: "no not that, I'm not going to!" Ik ga het nu gewoon niet doen, ik wil dat ze mij eerst voor mij kent, net zoals ik haar goed wil leren kennen!"
Old J took a moment to consider it, to which he gave a positive nod, "ja! Dat is een betere aanpak, maar zorg ervoor dat je niet lang duurt, ze is een parel op de veiling!" and cautioned him on timing, in Deutsch...
"I began reading her books on my way here, and it's pretty much a perfect creation... Her mind is pretty, I liked her more, I really didn't think I was ever going to meet her again, but here we are sharing a wall!"
Koffi sighed and went all smiley as he commented, old J patted him on his shoulder a couple of times. "If it's a destined encounter, everything will work together on its own, just that, the storms in-between the two distances won't be easy!"
Lunch was ready to be served.
