EFYA GWENIBOAT'S POV

Lost somewhere deep on the Dreamland, feeling the breeze from the comfortable beach side I've yearn to be one hot afternoon, this bright light emitted suddenly as I could hear chirping and baby birds tweeting loud enough to imagine them so close to my ears...

My eyes fluttered from side to side as the morning sun rays smeared directly to my face from my window.

I flew out of my bed ones my gaze fell on the wall clock, it's two hours and thirty minutes away from noonday.

"Oh no no no no... No! what the... Oh my God!" I rushed out to the hall and saw Nancy lying lifelessly on the floor and having her blanket unorganized, in-between the couch and herself.

"Hah, I can't believe she's the one with tons of guys around her... Seriously what do they see in her? Nancy!"I yelled out as I kept kicking her butt lightly.

"Mm! Mmm! I'm up okay! , it's too early to shout that way! There are different and silent ways to do that, you know?" She replied whiles scratching in-between her thighs and armpit eww!

"So barbaric... You're lucky I didn't splash water on your face. It's nine thirty Nancy! We missed church service, where's your Co?"

I entered Sandy's room and she was also fast asleep with cotton In her ears, I quickly spread the curtains wide apart as she shrank at the sun rays coming at her.

Need I do more? Yeah almost missed the sensitive part, I pulled away her sleeping mask as she slowly fluttered her eyes.

"Geez! What is wrong with y..." She noticed my presence,"you ? Oh what says the time?" She yawned along.

"We missed church already... Come out quickly!"
I walked out to the kitchen and warmed water with slices of cucumber for everyone.

Church services end at twelve noon and we are absolutely late to make it, not to talk of all that we've got to do before reaching there.

"where's my phone?" I reached for it and switched it on. I really don't feel comfortable when I miss Sunday church service, seriously I'm not used to it at all.
And Gladys... She's always keeping a tap on that, she's gonna call in the afternoon, I know.

But from the look of things, these two weren't even planning to go in the first place. "Here!" I gave out the glasses.

"girl you just made a fuss about this church service! I had no plans to go today, I got dog tired yesterday and seriously planned to sleep in more than I did..." Sandra stated as Nancy lied back after dropping her glass.

"Yeah! I guessed that, you go back to sleep then, when you wake up then we get busy... I'm gonna take a shower" I got up to leave when Nancy threw her pillow at me real hard,

" And what was that for?" I questioned,

" Snake under grass! You're so damn bad, you know it's not possible to sleep again if you gaggle such boiled water, telling us to go back as if you're genuinely concerned..." Nancy responded, clearly there's been a misunderstanding but... Sandra pleaded my cause.

"Girl I don't think she knew you'd wanna go back to bed, don't mind her go shower, as for me I've got a lot to wash, is y...". .."Is your washing machine working I wanna use it first!" Nancy raised her voice taking credit for what I know Sandra was about.

"Or we both can use it at the same time, to save water..." Sandra stated.

"Sure it's working but I think for now we all should go do one thing, you know, brushing! The air seems to be carrying our breath around..."

Thirty minutes after breakfast we went ahead to dry the washed clothes, but then I got a call and excused myself, I nearly thought it was him but the number seems completely different.

"Yeah! Hello..." I enunciated,

"good morning Efya, doing good today?" Turns out, I was right, it's him, his voice sounds calmer than someone who's been snubbed for quite a while... Or I'm just new to such a reaction? Perhaps!

"Yeah! Good morning, I'm good by God's grace and... You?" I reached for a bottle of water from the fridge when he replied so fast, coincidentally directing a question I had in mind for him, towards me.

"You didn't attend church or you don't go to church?!" Who would say by God's grace and not be a Christian? Duh!

"I do, ah.. um, I kinda overslept through the morning and I ah... Missed the time ,which God forgive me, led to my staying home!" I replied as I found myself sketching with my right toe on the kitchen floor.

"Okay... I'm not a Christian but I'm from a Christian home, yeah and I basically don't follow any religion don't get me twisted or something but... If you're gonna get me convicted, I'll be happy to!"

He replied wiring my head with confusion and lots of questions, why will he need someone to get him to it, than... You let's save it for some other time.

"Okay! So what's your name then, it's quite unbalanced that you know mine and I don't!"

" Yeah! I should've done that earlier... I'm Omar Klein, a German descent and ah... My family is here for um..." For a moment my attention diverted from the message to his tone.

There's something about his voice that's quite hypnotic, yeah it's definitely not about his accent, I'm pretty sure there's something roundabout it that... I can't quite place my hand on now, but... "Hello! You there?" His voice reached out, breaking my daze.

"uhm! Yeah continue, I heard everything don't worry?"

"If you're busy we can talk some other time, I don't mind?" Well I somehow do mind now, before I would say anything Sandra approached me holding up her phone.

"Obaa Milli wants to have a word! It's pretty urgent!" She added, no no no! Why now?

"Yeah I'm a little busy... I'll make sure to call you once I'm done, it's been amazing talking with you!" I complemented "same here, okay have a great day... Bye!"

I took the phone with contempt considering this bad timing... "Yeah Obaa sup with you?"

"I heard you guys overslept because of my big day stress, sorry okay! Forget the rest, I know how much you treasure this day... I'm really sorry okay and thanks for everything, you guys were amazing and really helpful... Let's talk more when we meet up, alright... Bye?" What the...

"Seriously? Girl you've got to be kidding me! It's just about this? I mean this is all that you wanna say?" I fumed, but she hanged up...

"Oh, And um... There's this white pervert grandpa busily gazing at our asses from the neighbour's house, you've got to come and tell him something, he's not getting any of the signs we're giving him!"
