Ray's POV

I woke up after snoozing my alarm for the fourth time.
I didn't want to get up so early..
Not that I had a choice..
But one glance at the clock and I jumped out of bed.
It was already six in the morning and Ember would be here any minute now.

Shit !
Just my luck that I packed my bags yesterday, instead of waiting for today morning like a dumbass or rather like The Dumbass that I am.

I went in the bathroom and came out freshly showered as the bell's shrill sound resonated through the house making me wince.

I took a pair of random jeans and struggled to put my leg inside, and my feet got stuck in the ripped parts atleast ten times making me struggle to hurry up.
The bell rung again and I went into the living room after throwing on a random pair of shirt with my jeans.

Ember stood at the door in a denim dress paired with a dark denim jacket.
She looked beautiful and trust me that is an understatement.

Her face was void of makeup and she rocked that look better than anything.
She nudged me as she entered and I followed her inside.

"Where the hell are your bags Ray ?"
Her annoyed voice made a sheepish smile grace my lips as she looked at me, clearly giving me the Look.

I hurriedly went into my room and picked the two suitcases and carried them back as I noticed Ember was nowhere to be seen.
I peeked out of the window to check if she was in the car, but she wasn't.

A few seconds later the coffee machine's noise made my feet turn in the direction of the kitchen.

She was standing near the machine with two cups in her hands, seemingly eager to have her coffee.

She handed me the cup after she had poured it and I realised just how strong the coffee was.
She grinned as she saw the weird face I made after drinking the horrendously bitter coffee.
The sound of a snap made me straighten my face as I caught her clicking my pictures.

"If only we were not in a hurry, I would've chased you and made you delete them."
I said with a tone of self guarantee that I could do that if I wanted to.

She laughed challengingly.
"Whatever helps you sleep Ray."
She snatched my half cup of coffee and drank it in a gulp.
She washed the cups as I loaded the luggage in her car and she came out.

She tossed me the keys as I grinned and took the driver seat as she got in.

We reached the airport sooner than expected, thanks to the less traffic today.

We both took a seat on the chairs and I started observing the people around as she worked on her laptop besides me.
My laptop was in my bag and I was too lazy to take it out and also observing people was one of my hobbies.

It always gave you things to remember and laugh about.
There were many people ranging from small kids who were troubling their kids and parents who looked like they were trying not to fall asleep or scold their child.

There was a man sitting opposite me who was smiling all the time, it somehow made me feel weird, but he left sooner than we did making me sigh in relief.

I also think there was something wrong with the row of chairs we were sitting on.

Now, why do I think so..
Because..

When a fairly heavy man on our side stood up, the whole row of chairs tilted in the front making me nearly crash and kiss the ground.

As I looked besides me, after me and Ember had straightened up, Ember was glaring at the seat as if it was the cause of the earlier accident, but that somehow made me smile.
