Alecanderia

         Stretching the sleep from my body, easing out my stiff muscles i opened my eyes. My room was dark showcasing that nighy had fallen. My stomach grumbled with its need for food. Throwing the blankets off i went to the door opening it. My need driving me to the kitchen. The chill in the house was unsettling to me. Athena was on alert. Sending out her senses. Feeling for anything that was wrong. I didn't like the eerie feeling we got. My stomach forgotten as i made my way down the hall.

      "Alex call for Sam or Blake." Athena demanded me through our link.

       "What is wrong Athena?" Fear creeping into my heart spreading like wild fire.

      "Sam?" I called out to him. His name rolling off my togune. I waited taking a few more steps down the hall.

       "Athena what is going on?"

      "I do not know but we need to find our.....Mate? Or protector?" Athena said sounding confused as she spoke the words.

      "Blake!" I said louder. Still I had no reply. Something felt wrong. Very wrong. I came near to the celler door when a scent hit me. It was faint but there. Opening the door i crept down the steps. My heart beating eratically. Seeing the cells i saw a burly size man, well partially. For a minute my heart stopped beating.

     "Mike?" I called out feeling as if my throat was closinh in on it self. I heard him shuffling around. Hos face coming into the light. My heart sank and than shattered. This was not my brother. I could hear the man in hale. Taking in my scent.

       "A...she-wolf?" His voice was raspy..almost hesitant.

     Instantly i realized he was a rogue...in a cell. Which means he is bad or has done something very bad. As these thoughts came i couldn't help but feel doubtful. Athena wasn't on alert. She wasn't even bothered by hiz pressence.

        "Athena what do we do?" I asked her just staring at the man in wonder. He took one more look before slidding back into the shadows.

       "His wolf Alex." She said dazed.

       "What about his wolf?" I questioned her feeling lost.

       "He calls to us..like a brother. It is calming." She seemed so dazed by this.

       I walked closer to his cell. His face still hidden by the shadows. I sat down in front of the silver bars. I stared at him. I didn't feel scared by him or intimidated by him. I was drawn to him. Not like i was with Sam, almost like i was with Blake.

       "My name is Alexanderia..but call me Alex." I said sitting there waiting for a reply.

  After what seemed like a lifetime i got a reply. "Names Dax." His voice was still raspy but not as hesitant.

          "That's a different name." My eyes turned into saucers once i realized i said it out loud. I heard a loud cackling that met my ears. "I'm sorry that was rude of me."

   "Not really your only stating the truth." His voice only seemed to get raspier as he talked.

     He will be your second protector. He will protect you until his last breathe. I heard her voice in my head before i saw her light.

        "Hello my dear children." I could feel Athena purring. Her mother was here. I saw Dax crawl closer to the bars. His face lite up with her light. He had electric blue eyes. Shady blonde hair cascading down his forehead into his eyes. A shadow of bread growing. "My dear Dax so full of wonder. You shall be the perfect fit as Alexanderia's second protector."

      Dax's mouth fell open as he looked between the moon goddess and me. Noddong his head yes eagerly. With that her light disappeared. Dax just looked at me confusion taking over his features.

       "I'm the first of my kind. Saviour of our race." I said quitely looking at him. Just then i heard yelling.

       "Alex....Alex where are you?" Sam's voice rang out laced with worry.
