as soon as landon came back to the dorm, luke told him almost everything, without mentioning names he didn't know if calum wanted people to know.

"luke just text them, obviously they're into you!" landon exclaimed, shoving luke's shoulder in a joking manner.

"what if they're playing me? oh my god i'd look like such a loser!" luke said, hitting his pillow beside him.

"dude, text them now," landon shook his head before making his way over to his own bed to watch something on his laptop.

with that, luke did it. he typed in the number, sighing too himself.

'hey it's luke :)'

one minute passed. then five. then fifteen. then thirty.

luke would be lying if he said he wasn't upset. he was so dumb. a few tears slipped his eyes as he got out of bed to go get food from a vending machine. he wasn't even hungry, but he needed to eat.

after he got back to his room, he picked up his phone off the bed to see a message.

'so so sorry, i was working on a paper. u busy later?'

luke smiled widely, wiping the tears away. they made plans fairly quickly and luke couldn't be happier.

calum came back to luke's room at 5:30. god, he looked so good to the blonde. he literally couldn't help but stare at him.

"hey, long time no see," calum joked, smiling as he laughed. luke laughed as well, stepping out of the room.

"hi. thanks for coming back after watching me throw up," luke giggled, his cheeks turning red due to embarrassment.

they walked out of the door building and headed toward a random part. the entire wall, they stayed close together.

once luke saw the swings, he took off toward them. calum followed behind him, laughing his ass off.

"i love swings," luke said as he plopped down on one. calum took a seat on the swing beside the younger boy.

"yeah?" calum chuckled, "i couldn't tell."

luke began to pump his legs, making himself go higher. calum didn't go up very high because he was more interested in watching luke.

"i haven't been to the park in so long. i used to come here all the time but i was barely allowed on the swings because my brothers would shove me off and then i would cry," luke explained, looking at the play set in front of him.

"that's not very nice of them," calum couldn't help but laugh at the story. he also couldn't help but laugh whenever he was with the blonde.

"i know! they're so mean to me," luke huffed, puffing his lip out a bit.

"i don't know how, you're the most adorable person i've ever met," calum said loud and clear. luke's cheeks returned to the red they were earlier.

"stop it," luke mumbled, slowing down his swinging motion so he could cover his cheeks while being safe.

calum waited to till luke slowed down completely to reach over and take the other boy's hand in his own.

"i mean it," calum whispered, giving his hand a small squeeze.

"shush," the younger boy whined, hiding his face away from the dark haired boy.

"stay right there," calum said as he let go of luke's pale hand. he got off the swing and went a few feet in front of luke before sitting down in the wood chips. swiftly, he took out his phone and pointed in the direction of the other boy.
