The Lost Trident: Percy Jackson

POSEIDON SAVES ME FROM DISSECTING A FISH

The first few chapter are probably going to be pretty boring so I have tried to keep them as short as possible! This is my first fanfic so please understand that my writing probably sucks. I have actually written a few chapters already and i have mapped it out so there will probably be around 12 chapters total that could change though depending on what i want to do. TRIALS OF APOLLO DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS AND IT WILL NEVER EXIST IN THIS, mainly because I haven't actually finished it. It is set in tend of April start of May 2018 and throughout the events in this Percy is 17 years old and a SENIOR at high school. I hope you enjoy.

DING, DING, DING!

The bell for the end of the lunch break went. "Great" I thought "Just 2 more periods before I can leave." I walked towards the classroom for my next subject, biology. I wasn't really looking forward to it we were meant to be dissecting fish, which is something that I have already done at one of my many old schools. Ever since I was first claimed I have begun to eat less fish and I hate dissecting them cause well I'm not gonna lie I know some pretty cool fish.

I walked into the room just in time a second later and I would have been late. I looked around and saw that everything was set up for the dissection. There was a dead fish on every bench and all the sharp little knives and scissors. I'll be honest if we were dissecting anything else I would have been fine but seeing the fish made me feel a bit queasy. I walked over to my lab partner and we took our usual bench near the window overlooking the entrance to the school. The teacher was giving us instructions but like usual I wasn't really giving him my full attention I ended up starring out the window because I saw someone that look vaguely like my father in a suit. But I knew it couldn't be my father because he was busy rebuilding his palace, he also never wears a suit. But this guy looked exactly like my father.

"Percy!"

"Yes sir?"

"would you mind repeating what I just told the class?" my teacher asked me

"I'm sorry, sir. I wasn't paying attention" I replied. My teacher just looked at me angrily for a few seconds and then told us to begin.

My lab partner was a nice kid he wasn't popular. In fact, he was kind of a loner and that was my main influence when I chose to be his lab partner, it wasn't because I felt bad for him exactly but more the fact that I don't like seeing people being left out of things, it annoys me.

"Hey Percy pass me the scalpel" I passed him the scalpel and watched in horror as he cut open the fish. He didn't seem to notice and began scraping of the scales in the fish so it was easier to make an incision. I hated this but I continued to help.

"Percy" I looked up at my partner

"what?" I asked him. He just looked at me like I was crazy.

"I didn't say anything Percy. Hey you look a little pale are you ok?"

"yeah, yeah. I'm fine" I mumbled back.

"PERCY!" I looked out the window and saw the guy in the suit again.

"father" I mumbled

"I'm sorry what did you say Percy?" my lab partner looked at me strangely. But I ignored him, I needed to figure out a way to get out of class. The easiest way would have just been to turn on a Bunsen burner and start a fire but that would likely get me suspended.

"Percy can you gut it whilst I hold it open?" I looked at my partner and then at the fish that had a large hole in it that was being help open to show all of its insides. That was enough for me.

"Sir may I go the nurse's office?"

"why do you need to be excused Mr Jackson" the teacher said as he turned to face me "never mind yes you can go the nurse's office" I picked up my bag and walked as fast as I could to the door after apologising to my lab partner.

"poor Percy, can't even dissect a fish without getting sick" I turned towards the voice and saw that I was none other than the person I hated the most in the school. He picks on everyone but his select group and I've been wanting to put him in his place for so long but I know I would get in heaps of trouble. I didn't actually say anything in reply I just stopped at the door and starred at him. I have this special talent after having spent time with Lupa I can scare anyone just by staring at them. This was enough to make him pale and begin to lightly sweat and with that I left the classroom.

My teacher may have thought I was going to the nurse's office but instead I went to my step-dad Paul's office. KNOCK, KNOCK.

"come in!" I opened the door and walked into the office "Percy? shouldn't you be in class?" "I should be but my father is waiting outside and I don't know why, I told my teacher I was going to the nurse's office but could you just say that I came to you cause I was feeling sick and that you sent me home? Please?" he stood for a second thinking

"yeah, I'll do it Percy, now go see your father I'm sure he doesn't want to be kept waiting". I ran to the entrance of the school and burst through the doors it was only then that I began walking. I walked down the front steps of the school and out the front gate. I looked up and down the street and laid eyes on my father standing partly down the street near where Annabeth was waiting for my when I was doing orientation. He gave me a hug when I got there

"I've missed you." My father began seeing me a bit more since the giant war last year but mostly on holidays so this was still random. He wouldn't have just come to tell me he missed me.

"not to be rude or anything but why are you here?" 

As I said at the start the beginning is kinda boring. I hope you liked the first chapter more to come. 

OH THIS IS ALSO MOST LIKELY GOING TO BE A PREQUEL TO SOMETHING ELSE I AM GOING TO WRITE!
