The Lost Trident: Percy Jackson

My Dad shares a suprise

"Now for my second thing. Percy... you're going to have a sister." I was so confused.

"I know. I'm not going to, I do and she's in the room right over there." My mom looked just as confused as me

"No. I mean yes she's your sister but you will have another one, she's close to being born. Maybe another 3 or 4 months." Poseidon revealed. "but, are you serious? And she's your child? 3 or 4 months, that means she could be born the same month as me. If she's going to be born in 3 or 4 months that means around 3 months after the giant... You really took advantage of my request, didn't you?" I said. My father just looked at me with a kind of sadness in his eyes like he was ashamed of himself. Mom just kind of sat there silently studying him. I couldn't really tell how she felt about it but eventually she smiled and that made my father smile a little bit.

"I'm deeply sorry Percy but I do have to go now. I want you to go to camp tomorrow where you will meet up with Nico, then the two of you will have a meeting with Chiron before preparing to leave on the Monday morning." He explained to me and mom. Just then the door opened,

"hello?" Paul called down the hall,

"where in here Paul" I called back, I could hear Paul making his way to the living room and even though he has met my father before I didn't really know how he was going to react. "good afternoon Mr Blofis" my father said

"good afternoon Poseidon" Paul replied. Hmm, seems I didn't need to be worried after all.

"I was just informing Sally of a favour I needed from Percy that he has kindly agreed to do." My father informed Paul, "there is no need to worry about his safety on this as it is probably going to be his safest adventure ever and that is saying quite a bit. All he is going to be doing is retrieving my trident from a domain that I am not allowed in."

Paul looked slightly confused by the last sentence just like I still was. Paul didn't say anything but instead gave a quick nod to show his acknowledgment. Paul knew about all the things I had done he knew about how I had travelled to the sea of monster and blew up the side of a mountain so he understood that this wasn't going to be that difficult.

"I'm sorry but I really should be going now, I am needed at Atlantis." He stood and began making his way to the door, I had one more question I wanted to ask him, more like a favour really.

"hey father about taking a third person on the quest-" I began but I was cut off by my father "they will be at camp tomorrow with Nico waiting for you." And with that he smiled disappeared. 

hope you enjoyed the cliffhanger! I don't really focus on Percys unborn sister in this i mainly did it so if i could write something in future that didn't really have to be about a quest and more just the Percy helping out his new sister, another child of Poseidon.
