The Lost Trident: Percy Jackson

I go to camp

The drive to camp this morning reminded me of the first time I ever came to camp. Hopefully there wouldn't be a minotaur attack. Sure, I had come to camp a lot but this was only the second time my mom a driven me to camp.

"Percy, I know this may be difficult for you to do but please try to stay out of trouble. If Poseidon says this quest isn't going to be dangerous I expect you to be safe." mom told me as we got out of the car. I looked up at the pine tree on top of the hill,

"I'll be as safe as I can mom" I assured her. She smiled at me before giving me a hug goodbye. As I started my walk toward the entrance to camp I could hear my mum beginning to drive off and I turned around and watched her leave. I walked into camp and headed towards my cabin, along the way I said hi to some of my mates and introduced myself to some new campers before eventually making my way to my cabin. I didn't really expect anyone to be in there so opening the door and seeing no one in there wasn't a surprise. Before I could even throw my bag on my bed there was a knock on my door.

"hey Percy, Chiron wants to see you in the big house." Will told me.

"no problem I'll head over now, thanks for telling me Will" I said with a smile. Will was one of my favourite campers, he was able to cure anything, he even managed to cure a boy I thought would never be truly happy and feel accepted. He had managed to help Nico feel as though he was worth something and wanted. He was the reason Nico was still at camp.

I walked inside the big house and I could hear Chiron and Nico talking, then I heard a third voice and I smiled to myself.

"Chiron, Nico, Travis" I said happily. Travis came over and gave a quick hug, Chiron gave me pat on the back and Nico gave a nod, these were all what I expected so I wasn't to surprised.

"Poseidon hasn't told me anything about this quest you are to embark on" Chiron informed me.

"well I can only tell you what he told me" and so I explained to all of them what he had told me which wasn't much but the only other thing we needed to know was whereabouts the trident was.

"Poseidon said he would inform me of the location today and that we are to leave tomorrow." Chiron just nodded and he then dismissed us to make a plan of what we were going to do.
