Hello, I apologise for the lack of updating but I have left the rambling for the end. I hope the YouTube video/song thing works (technology hates me so don’t be surprised if it doesn't) and if it does, I have left a note on a recommended time to play it. If you can't play it then, still play it as it's still beautiful music.

Myst POV

I stood on a branch, hidden by the trees waiting for Pitch to find me. Though he was definitely taking his sweet time, that or I was early.

There was a rustle to the right before a misty darkness began to flow into the small clearing. First came the Nightmares, stronger than ever, they tossed their manes of sandy darkness and I watched as the excess nightmare sand glinted off towards the full moon that seemed to light up the whole clearing.

Pitch followed his stallions, a sinister glint in his eyes that made my blood run cold. He looked up to the branch that I was sitting on and his dark eyes seemed to pierce into my soul. He smirked.

"Did you really think you could hide from me?" he whispered. I jumped into the air as a burst of black sand was flung at me. My eyes started to glow a bright silver and I roared at him, my hands pointing towards him as a silver beam came flying out knocking him down. I smirked at him and flew off.

He yelled and followed me, his nightmares galloping behind him as I lead him to where the others were waiting, just as we planned. When I finally arrived at the North Pole I flew up   and landed on one of the nearby cliffs and watched as Pitch flew right into the trap we had set for them.

Though not everything went as planned. Fist Tooth, then Bunnymund and North were flung into the cliffs or far away from the fight. It seems that Pitch was stronger than everyone had anticipated. I stood up and prepared to fly down to help, but what I saw made me stop in my tracks. Pitch was holding an unconscious Jack over the edge of one of the cliffs with Sandman knocked out behind them.

"Jack" I screamed and jumped off the cliff. My black, lace covered dress streaming behind me as I frantically tried to make it time.

Pitch turned and smirked at me, as he did, he slowly peeled his fingers away from Jacks neck then watched victoriously as Jack plummeted over the edge of the cliff.

(Play music now if you can)

This time, when my eyes lit up, the tattoos of the moon that are usually invisible, started to glow the same silver as my eyes. When Pitch turned to face me again, his eyes widened. I opened my mouth and began to chant. Pitch fell to his knees, his eyes wide, staring in shock. The silver light emitting from my body began to purify the nightmares, over taking the ones desperately trying to get away. The only darkness left was the mist surrounding Pitch, but even that was retreating back inside his body. As he stated at me, he opened his mouth, but whatever he was planning to say never came out as my chant climaxed and the purifying light destroyed his body. Pitch was no more.

I sat down heavily, it felt like a massive weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I stood up and started to walk towards the cliff to find Jack, I managed two steps before a wave of dizziness forced me back down and the world went black.

Jack's POV

I groaned and sat up, grabbing my staff that had fallen down the side of the cliff with me. Though as I reached for my staff, pain shot through my arm and up around my shoulder, but I ignored it. I knew Myst would have gone in and tried to fight Pitch herself and I needed to make sure she was alright and help her. I flew up towards the cliff, getting more and more confused as I was failing to hear any noises of a fight.

When I reached the top, all I was greeted by were various piles of black sand that slightly sparkled in the moonlight. I kept scanning the area until my eyes fell on a person shaped pile of black material.

"Myst!" I shouted. I half ran half flew to her side and pulled her head onto my lap. I gasped slightly at the various moon shaped tattoos that adorned her face and travelled down her neck and across her bust. They probably went further but I couldn’t be sure due to her clothing. I heard a slight groan and looked down at her now fluttering eyes. She opened them and stared at me, her now bright silver orbs looking into my icy blue ones. A small smile adorned her face and she pulled me down to her.

"We won Jack, Pitch is gone." She whispered, her voice hoarse. She pecked me on the cheek slightly before falling unconscious again. I just smiled at her lovingly and stroked her hair. I couldn't carry her and fly due to my arm so the only option left was to wait for someone to help.

I am so sorry about the lack of updating again. I'm going to try and complete the story within the next couple of chapters! I'm really bad at writing fight scenes so this was probably complete crap. I would like to thank those readers that have followed my story since the beginning and for everyone else who has supported me along the way. You have been a great group of readers.
