Marinette
Gotham was as gloomy as people describe it. It's perfect. Of course, when we tried to board the bus, Lila made a fuss. Claimed that she was allergic to blue haired girls. My whole group of friends burst out laughing. But now that we're in Gotham, I felt free. I haven't felt free in a long time. And as I took a deep breath of the muggy, polluted, Gotham air, I felt free. And just like that it started to rain. And when I looked for my class.
They were gone.
Pulling my phone out, I mapped myself to Wayne Hotel before rapping myself in my coat and heading in the directions.I made it halfway, before I started to sneeze. My nose was running and I was shaking slightly. Guess I was catching something. And just as I was about to round a corner I sneezed so hard, I hit my head on the wall. Great, now my head hurts and my vision is blurry. How the hell can I find the hotel now?!
"Miss? Are you alright?"
I jumped and pushed my back into the wall. I blinked rapidly, trying to clear the haziness from my vision.
"Miss, you don't look so good." The voice said.
"Great, I'm hallucinating. I've finally lost it." I muttered and tried to push away, but swayed and slouched to the ground. Something touched my head and it gasped in shock.
"A, I need you to clear out a guest bedroom. I'm coming in with a woman. She's really out of it....she has a fever...... alright, I'm on my way."
I tried to move away from the voice—wait man?
"I-I-I have to get to-to-to the hotel." I said, struggling to stand up.
I could hear the man getting closer. He placed a hand on my shoulder and gently tugged me into a standing position, but I was leaning against him.
"Your coming with me. A friend of mine is going to check you over." He whispered.
"No, I gotta get to my friends. They'll be worried."
"What do you mean?"
"G-g-got left—at a-a-airp-p-port." I breathed.
The man (whoever he is) took a sharp deep breath. Before wrapping his arm around my waist, and guiding me so I was behind him. He kneeled down before placing me on his back. I buried my my face in the flaps of my jacket. The rain running down my hair and face. I felt a sneeze building up. My arms felt like noodles, and my head was spinning, and just as darkness sucked me in. There was a yell, then nothing.Damian- Robin
She passed out! What the hell?!
"Nightwing, I need you to come to my location. The woman passed out and I can't carry her and her luggage."
"Sure thing Robin. Be there in just a moment."
A few minutes later, Nightwing landed next to me. He picked up the woman's luggage, before we grappled back to the cave.
Alfred was already waiting for us, by the time we got there. The woman was mumbling incoherently the entire time.
"Let's take her up to the manor. I'll take it from there." He said, leading then to the elevator. "Do you know why she was out there?" Alfred asked once the elevator started moving.
"She said something about getting left at the airport. Also thought she was hallucinating my voice." I said with a shrug.
Once I placed her in one of the guest bedrooms, I showered before heading back into the bedroom. Alfred, Kor'i and another person were standing next to the bed.
"Who are you?" I asked pointing to the blond.
"I'm Chloé, Marinette's best friend. I tracked her phone here." She said before turning back to her friend, who was semi-concussion. "You, missy, are in a lot of trouble."
"Calm down Chlo. I've taken care of Manon, Chris, and Kim. It's just a really bad cold." She whispered. "But can I get some water? I'm so sorry about this. I sorry if I've been a burden or inconvenience." She whispered and looked away from us.
"Don't even go there MariBug. If you start spiraling now, I won't get you to snap out of it. And I can't slap you, not only do you get that too much, your sick. At least Lila will stay away from you."
"Too bad Adrien has to come on this trip. He can't come to school, but he's willing to travel out of the country. Plus, French law doesn't count here. He's— oh shit." She threw her hands on her face before she coughed really hard.
"He won't touch you. I'll skin him alive if I have to. And Kagami got her sword past security, so we also can defend you." Chloé consulted.
"I hope so. I can't do that again. I'm already on the edge. That will send me over it. And this is my chance to get away from it." Marinette whispered before she buried her face in the blanket. "Chloé, hand me my bag please." Chloé stood and dragged the suitcase over to the bluenette. She opened a secret compartment that was filled with herbs and greens. She pulled out a few herbs before grounding them together. When she finished she dumped it into the glass of water, and stirred it together. Before draining the whole glass. As she sat the glass down the color in her face returned and when she sighed it wasn't as raspy as before.
"How long?"
"Hopefully, tonight. If not tomorrow."
She looked beautiful. Her hair complimented her pink lips. Why the hell do I care? Caring is beneath me.... or is it?
