Headaches

The day started off as normal, besides the thick fog around the island. Other than that, normal. A young boy named Seiji had just give up on being able to watch tv and decided to just read a book instead. He was the splitting image of late mother. Black hair and grey eyes. His dad was late, so he was under the watchful eye of his older brother, who was only six years older. His brother having dark brown hair, his grey eyes being the only trait he received from their mother.

"Hey Jin, when did Appa say he'd be back?" Seiji said as opened his book. He

Jin glanced at the clock from where he stood in the kitchen, heating up leftovers for dinner in the microwave. "Hm, I'd say... an hour ago. Appa is an hour late." Jin frowned. He went and picked up the landline and dialed in his dad's cell phone number. Only to hear static. Were the cell towers down maybe?

"Oppa? Is everything okay?" Seiji asked from where he sat, book forgot on his lap. He could easily see the troubled look on his brother's face. Seiji only ever called Jin Oppa when Jin looked troubled. He didn't mean to let it show, but his younger brother was too perceptive.

"I'm sure everything is fine. I think the cell towers are down, so dad wasn't able to call. He's probably just working late." Jin wanted to curse at his inability to mask the unease in his voice. It wasn't that long ago they had lost their mom. It was still affecting them all badly. It was normal for their dad to throw himself into his work and work over time. However, he usually would call so they wouldn't worry, so Jin wouldn't worry really.

Seiji himself, was better at masking his feelings than his brother, but he couldn't hide his own unease at the prospect that their father couldn't contact them. Then the door knocked. Jin, distracted by his unease, moved to open it, only for Seiji to grab his arm with a deep frown on his lips. "Dad said not to open the door to strangers when he's not home." He whispered , sounding scared. Then the door broke open and it didn't matter had Jin opened the door or not.

Seiji froze as he saw the ghost like Digimon take them. The Bakamon herded him and his brother into the controlled crowd of people. There were so many people and he was scared and had a headache when ever he saw the Bakamon. How did he even know that these were Digimon called Bakamon? He got separated from Jin as they were all taken to the tv station. That explains why the tv wasn't working.

Overwhelmed by the crowd of people, and lack of anyone in his family nearby, not to mention the flashes of memories he isn't quite sure are his. Seiji was panicking. Seiji wanted to cry so badly, but he couldn't, he was supposed to be his mom's brave little soldier. He didn't want dad to worry about him, or his brother. But, they probably already are worried. They herded everyone to the convention center near the tv station. Once they could move about freely, but not leave, Seiji moved to where he could sit down and huddle to himself and let the onslaught of memories take him. Memories from a distant life he could no longer reach. Of a shy boy that turned to a tv series to give him comfort. Digimon. It was a tv show. He was in a tv show? Wait... he died, didn't he? A traffic accident on his way home from work. He was tired and over worked, so he hadn't seen the oncoming truck.

"Hey, are you okay?" Another boy approached him. He had a bird's nest of reddish brown hair that reminded Seiji of a porcupine. This boy was also rather familiar. "I'm Daisuke, but you can call me Davis if that's easier."

"I'm Seiji." He quietly whispered, Davis almost didn't hear him. He felt kind of bad. Seiji was lost, sure so was he, but he was so quiet. He almost looked fragile.

"You know I can't find my parents either. I snuck out to watch the other kids play soccer." Davis told him.

"I uh, I lost my brother in the crowd." Seiji responded.

"Let's look together, okay? Being lost alone is no fun, so we'll be lost together." Davis decided. "We'll look for our families together, and if we can't find one or the other, or neither of them, we'll just have to stick together!"

"O-okay. " Seiji nodded. Davis himself was a miracle, Seiji decided. He made the headaches go away and he made everything feel okay. He didn't feel as lost with Davis he decided. Still there was a nagging feeling that he forgot about something important, but heeded it no mind. Right now he didn't feel so scared, so he ended up following Davis as they walked around the convention center, holding his hand to feel less lost then he already did.

"Davis! There you are." Davis's parents found them first, along with Davis' older sister as well. They pulled him in for a hug, making him let go of Seiji's hand, making him feel lost again.

"Hi sweetie, did you lose your parents?" Davis' mother asked him. "They must be worried."

Seiji didn't say anything, he didn't know what he should say. He wanted to cry again. His brother and his dad, he couldn't find them. Will he just be lost forever now?

"Let's help Seiji find his family." Davis said, pulling away from his family and once again grabbing Seiji's hand to comfort him.

So the family, and Seiji, walked around, trying to find Seiji's family. Then they heard the frantic cry of Seiji's name from a boy that was June's age, Davis' sister. "Seiji!" Jin pulled his younger brother into a hug. "I am so sorry! I shouldn't have left you out of my sight."

"'S not your fault." Seiji muttered into his brother's shoulder.

"Thank you so much for looking out for my little brother." Jin told the family.

"It was Daisuke here." Davis' father affectionately ruffled his son's hair, who was grinning a huge smile. He was happy to have reunited Seiji with his brother.

"Davis, here." Seiji handed him a piece a paper.

"Let's go find Appa. We split up to go find you." Jin took Seiji's hand and took him to where he last saw his dad, Seiji silently waving tp Davis as they went.

Davis looked at the slip of paper Seiji gave him and grinned again before pocketing it for safe keeping. Despite the circumstances, he was happy. Plus he got a new friend.

"What'd he give you?" June looked to her brother curiously. It was the first time she saw him look this proud of himself other than when he scored his first goal when playing soccer.

"Hehehe I'm not going to tell you."

"You're such a brat." June grumbled.

Davis was still grinning. He and his sister had to share a lot of things. He wasn't, however, going to share with her something as special as Seiji's number.

Okay this chapter alone gave me a headache. I wrote this out on Wattpad on my tablet, then it started to glitch and I kept losing this chapter, yet I was able to recover all the work I did. Problem was it wouldn't save and everything time I made a new work on my tablet, then backed out of the first draft, published chapters of someone else's book would get added. So I had to copy paste and then email myself all my hard work so I could sign into my account on my phone than copy and paste it into a new draft and unfortunately write a new description! So if it sucks, that's because of the glitch. Happy reading ya people on earth.... or maybe perhaps you're the lucky ones that are in the digital world

Also you'll have to wait to read the other chapters for awhile, because frankly I wanted this posted because it was causing such a headache. I'll probably post the next chapter when I finish writing chapter ten maybe
