It was a new day and Seiji was feeling much better. Except Davis wasn't letting him out of his sight. At all. He even almost followed him into the bathroom at one point, which was where Seiji had drawn the line. Both TK and Kari had noticed and it was getting embarrassing on how attentive Davis was being. Seiji knew why Davis was like this. It was almost reminiscent to the time when they first met and Davis refused to leave him alone. This, however, was different on a whole other degree. Seiji was even starting to question that maybe they've been too close and dependent on each other. He was going to need a second opinion, but he didn't know who to ask. He did not want to ask Kari, he didn't want to potentially put her in the middle of... whatever this is. TK was new to both him and Davis both, plus Davis and him didn't start off on the right foot. Yolei was too... energetic and jumps to conclusions easily. Sometimes they're right, other times wrong and Seiji really didn't want a guessing game. There was Cody, but he didn't want to burden him with something like this. Sure sometimes he thinks that he's a wise old man in a kid's body, but he is a kid and he doesn't want to have to force him to keep a secret from Davis when they just met and seem to be getting along well.So Seiji ignored it. Davis is his friend, no matter what. It was Davis that can somehow cut through his headaches and make them disappear. Yesterday was bad sure, but that's because they were trapped and Davis was too far to be affective in helping Seiji to get himself to his senses. Though now, he feels like his headaches might not comeback with each memory of his past life he recalls anymore. Kudamon did something, he remembered that. He wasn't going to question it though, he trusted Kudamon. He doesn't know why just yet, but he trusted Kudamon just as much as he trusts Jin.
Seiji and Davis walked side by side on their way to the computer room, Kari and TK right behind them. As they neared the door and cracked it open, they could hear the voice of Demiveemon. "It smells like Davis!"
"Are you saying I stink?" Davis asked as he fully slid the door open all the way.
"It is! Davis!" Demiveemon cheerfully jumped into Davis' arms, who caught him with a smile.
"Demiveemon! Did you guys have a good day at school?" Davis asked.
"I spent the day napping on the ceiling lights." Kudamon said, as jumped up on Seiji's shoulders, whom gave him an affectionate pet.
"Where's Yolei?" Poromon asked, flapping his wings.
"And Cody?" Upamon added.
"Don't worry, their on their way." Kari smiled at the in-training Digimon.
They heard footsteps heading their way. "Ah here's someone now." Davis remarks.
"Sorry I'm late!" Yolei announces from down the hall as she ran, getting closer to the classroom. "I brought goodies from my parents' convenience store." Yolei said as she showed them the plastic shopping bag.
"Good idea, in-training digimon are bottomless pits." TK said, reminiscing his time in Primary Village, as well as when Patamon had to start over. Tokomon ate quite a bit.
"If my parents owned a convenience store, I'd eat candy all day until my teeth fell out." Davis said.
"We both know that's not true, you'd take advantage of getting all the good snacks to take to school." Seiji said.
"Touché."
Yolei put the bag down for the digimon, Kudomon joining as he was a bit hungry. "It's not that glamorous really. I have to pay for anything I eat, even when I work there." Yolei explains. "But the job comes in with a great pinch-in plan."
"Huh?" Davis asked confused, while the in-training digimon were confused about the snacks. Kudamon simply grabbed a bag of chips, ripped it open and started to eat, while Patamon grabbed a drinkable yogurt pouch. Then others followed, while Gatomon watched in resentment.
"Is the gate open?" Davis asked. Yolei checked and gave the okay. "Then let's go!"
"Wait! We have to wait for Cody!" Kari said.
"Where is he?" Davis asked.
"The lunchroom, he's still eating." Yolei answered.
"Then I'm going to the bathroom." Seiji said.
"I'll go with you!" Davis immediately said.
"No, you're waiting here with everyone else." Seiji stated as he picked up Kudamon. "Kudamon will be coming with me. So stay here."
As he walked down the hall towards the bathroom stalls Seiji sighed. "What's wrong Seiji?" Kudamon asked.
"He's been clingy all day, like a helicopter parent."
"Well after yesterday I could understand why he'd do that."
"Yeah I know, thing is... do you think that we've gotten too dependent on each other?" Seiji asked. "Ever since we met, we've kind of been sticking to each other like glue."
"Hmm maybe it's because you trust Davis too much." Kudamon said. "It's not a bad thing and David isn't a bad kid, but it's like you've cut yourselves off from the others. You need to be able to get along with everyone else too."
"Hmm yeah okay." Seiji nodded. "You're the best Kudamon. Even if we haven't known each other that long, it feels like I've known you forever."
"Yeah, it does."
