The small group was running up the stairs, heading to the computer lab, that's when they ran into another guy who just started attending the Junior High a few blocks away. He was also Yolei and Seiji's senpai of the computer club, the former president, Koushirou Izumi, or Izzy as most people call him."Izzy Senpai." Seiji noted, also a digidestined. He kind of distanced himself a bit from the computer genius when he discovered he was in the club he signed up for.
"Wow it's the legendary former vice president of the computer club!" Yolei said excitedly. She was the one who soaked up whatever Izzy told her like a sponge.
"Yolei, Seiji, I need to borrow the computer lab." Izzy stated in a rush.
"Hey Izzy." TK greeted him.
"Tai sent us an urgent email." Kari said, showing him her printed out version.
"I know, I got one too." Izzy said. Together they all went to the computer and Izzy immediately started working on the computer, sending Tai an email.
"You meet so many people in the computer club on your own, huh?" Davis questioned. "You even know him."
"I don't really talk with Izzy much." Seiji shook his head, dropping the senpai. "I mostly just talked with Yolei."
"Hey, what's the Digital World anyways?" Yolei asked them.
Suddenly Kari and TK got nervous. "I think Tai mentioned it once. Said there were a lot of Digimon there, or something like that."
"You know Tai?" TK asked.
"Davis and Tai were in the same soccer club." Kari explained.
"I know, let's all go to the Digital World." Yolei said. Just then the door to the computer lab opened and in walked a kid from a grade below them. Seiji immediately recognized him as Cody, another member of the computer club, the only one who signed up for it this year anyways.
"Yolei, aren't you coming? You said you'd help me fix my computer today."
"Oh I'm sorry. I forgot." Yolei said.
The two then walked down the hallway to talk about when Davis made a firm decision. "Alright I'm going to go too." Davis decided.
"That's impossible. You need one of these." TK showed Davis his digivice.
"Listen TC if you can go, so can I!" That's when individual lights shot out from the computer Izzy had pulled the portal up on. One flew straight into Davis's hands and another into Seiji's. The other two going down the hall Yolei and Cody just walked down.
"Well... huh." Seiji sighed to himself. It looks likes he's getting involved. Oh well, he wanted to sick with Davis, so he'll stick with Davis.
"What do you call this!?" Davis showed the digivice he had received. It was blue and white, while Seiji's was a vibrant orange and white.
"It's a digivice." TK said in awe.
"But it's a different model from ours. " Kari said, her face growing worried.
"He have to go now, while the gate to the Digital World is still open." Izzy said.
"Yeah but how long will it stay open for?" TK asked.
"I don't care! I'm going to help my brother!" Kari stated before pointing her digivice to the computer screen. It lit up and pulled her in. Well that's different. "I'm not waiting any longer!"
"I'm with you." TK stated, doing the same as well.
Davis stared gobsmacked at what just happened. He didn't expect he'd have to go through a computer or anything like that. "Well, I'll be going ahead Davis." Seiji said it followed Kari and TK's lead.
If fate decided the Digital World needed the digidestined, that it needed Davis and him, he'll do it. And jumping in will give Davis the sort of shock he needed to get moving. Besides, knowing how connected the Digital World is to their world, once the trouble there gets out of control, it'll start to affect their world. So they have to stop it before it's too late.
When Seiji found his ground, he found himself in a forest. TK and Kari nearby. However, before he could move, Seiji found himself flat face in the dirt and a weight on his back. "Woah, so this is the Digital World?" Davis said in awe as he sat on Seiji's back. "Wait where's Seiji, he came in before me."
"Davis, you're my best friend and everything. But get the hell off of me." Seiji growled.
"Woah I am so sorry Seiji!" Davis immediately got off his friend and helped him up, his cheeks red with embarrassment.
"Yeah, I know." Seiji dusted the dirt of this clothes, when he realized he was no longer wearing the clothes he left the house in. Instead he was wearing a black t-shirt, a navy green jacket with a grey hoodie and tan cargo shorts. He felt along the pockets of his jacket, and surprisingly his D-Terminal was in it. "This, is some wardrobe change."
"No kidding dude." Davis said, which was when Seiji noticed Davis' own change in attire.
"Come on, let's go find Tai. His Digivice signal is coming from this way." TK told them and started to lead the way.
"I'm so glad my clothes changed on me." Seiji sighed. "Dad would kill me if I got my nice clothes dirty."
"Hey look, a vending machine!" Davis pointed out. "You know I'm kind of thirsty." Davis moved to try and get a drink from the machine, when Seiji remember a very particular episode of the show where vending machines were the Numemon's favorite hiding place. So Seiji immediately pulled Davis out of the way as a whole group of Numemon evacuated from the vending machine.
"You should trust everything you see, sort of like trap chests." Seiji said. As the Numemon cleared away. The two then caught up to TK and Kari.
"So those were Digimon?" Davis asked.
"Yeah, but there's a lot cuter ones then those." Kari giggled. Seiji frowned a bit. Wasn't she queen of the Numemon before?
"There's a lot scarier ones too." TK added.
"Hmmm..."
"Is something wrong Seiji?" Davis asked, worried.
"Well it's just... I feel like I'm forgetting something really important." Seiji told.
"Maybe the homework?" Davis questioned .
"Nah maybe it's nothing." Seiji waved it off.
"It says they should be just around this corner." They heard someone say as they appeared from behind a tree, beyond the bend of the path. A small winged creature saw them and approached right away.
"TK!" It called.
"Patamon! Boy am I glad to see you!" TK hugged the digital creature with a smile, as Davis was slowly freaking out.
"Kari!" The cat like digimon standing on two legs immediately greeted her human partner into a hug as well.
"Gatomon!" Kari hugged the feline close.
"Tai! I told them you'd be alright!" Davis said.
"Hello." Seiji did a small wave.
"Davis? Seiji!?" Tai didn't know what to be more surprised by, that Davis and Seiji were in the Digital World, or the fact alone that Seiji was in the Digital World.
"Your tail ring! What happened?" Kari asked the champion leveled digimon.
"Tell it on the way to the cave. We can't stay out here in the open." The Digimon standing by Tai's side said.
"You heard the mon, let's hurry." Tai said, guiding them to the cave he had just came from as Gatomon began to tell them how she had lost her tail ring, as well as their new threat. The evil Digimon Emperor.
