This chapter is heartily dedicated to little-angel753 for being that little extra motivation I needed to resume on my book. I hope you'll stick around to see the end.
Recap

Rizpah looked up and saw a little stream. Thinking back now, she thought she had heard the flow of water from the cave. Hur set her down gently on a stone a little away from the stream so she could take care of her needs.
"Call out to me when you are done." He said and strode off into the dark forest.
Rizpah did as commanded and when she was done, she decided to take a dip in the stream. She began crawling toward the river's edge. She pulled and dragged and panted. At the water's edge, she decided to try standing again, but she miscalculated and fell head first into the water. Ria screamed as her body hit the water.

Chapter 8
Hur kicked a small rock with his toe as he waited not so patiently for the woman to finish her business. What was he to do with her now? He knew nothing of being hospitable. He only knew how to destroy things as he thought again of one of the reasons he was all alone in this accursed part of the jungle. He had to-
His line of thought was interrupted by a high-pitched scream and then a splash.
Dear Tiwaz! What had that twit gotten herself into again? Hur took of running towards the stream which was a ways off, since he had decided to give her room. Well, that wasn’t completely true as he thought ruefully. He had moved away because the temptation to watch her had become too overpowering to bear.Hur finally reached the stream and looked around for Rizpah but saw no one. He looked out toward the water and was greeted by a nice splay of bubbles rising to the surface.
Oh hell, he thought as he pulled down his trousers and quickly dove into the murky depths. She knew she felt warm. Her hands felt heavy too. She took in a deep breath only to stop short at the intense pain she felt by that action. She coughed violently and tried to sit up.
“Lay back down, will you? “Her eyes flew open as she stared up and into her captor's - No, savior’s eyes. He looked frustrated.
“Are you always in need of being rescued where U come from?”
She blushed profusely. “I thought men liked rescuing fair maidens in distress!” she retorted, trying to take the spotlight off herself.
“That’s the best you could come up with?” He gave her a ludicrous look. She averted her gaze and looked at the cave’s walls, deciding to study it instead. She peered at him from under her eyelashes. He was busy sharpening his dagger against a rock. She watched as his muscles rippled under his bronzed flesh. He did look strong. She peered openly at his long, dark hair. It was almost to his waist, held together by something that looked akin to bone and animal hide. He really was a caveman. She focused her gaze back to his arms as he continued to sharpen his blade, but noticed him falter in his rhythm.
“Why do you stare at me that way?” He asked annoyed, but his voice sounded strangely like he didn’t mind.
How did he…?She quickly averted her gaze. “I wasn’t looking at you," she mumbled under her breath, “I was merely looking across the cave, but you we’re obstructing my view."
Hur looked up, then went right back to the task at hand.
Ria let out a frustrated sigh. “So why are you all alone here anyways?” she asked curiously. “Didn’t you say your tribe was over the hill?”
Hur stilled his movement and looked Rizpah right into her eyes. He dropped the rock and tucked the dagger into his belt, all the while, his eyes never wavering from Ria’s face. He was stuck again by her obvious beauty. Even in the firelight, her hair still shone like it had it’s own inner light. Suddenly, Hur got up, annoyed that she could distract him so easily by not even doing anything. Be reached out onto the fire and used a stick to stir the dying embers.
“I was exiled.” He said, not even looking up like it didn’t matter, but Ria could tell that it bothered him to no end.“Exiled?” she replied, “but what did you do? And who was it that exiled you? For how long were you exiled?” she fired back in quick succession. She wasn’t looking forward to being left all alone in this jungle. She liked the fact that she had company with her, albeit not a very friendly one, but it would just have to do.
Hur had been leaning on the wall beside the entrance to the cave. He stood to his full height and flexed his muscles. He knew that this same look had cowered men before her.
“I do not have to answer to you!” he snarled “Go to sleep, now.” He ordered.
Striding to the opposite end of the fire to Rizpah, he plopped himself down and laid down. He closed his eyes, sending a clear message that further conversations were not welcome.
Ria sighed in defeat. Sheesh. He sure was touchy. Well at least he had told her he was exiled. That was progress. She laid down on her side, careful not to agitate her ankle. She put her hand on her make-shift pillow and pulled it to her head and laid her head on it. Tomorrow was another day…
