When they eventually came back I had located the snacks and was munching on sweet and salty popcorn, chugging on ice tea. Earning some more raised eyebrows. When they finally settled we got back to business.
'Right. Well you know, thanks to a demonstration from our marvelous Theo, we have powers. Theo's is electricity. As for everyone else. Grace can clone herself. Alex has super strength. Sam can sonic scream. Stacy can control water, fire, earth and air. She's the avatar. I can teleport, I got you in our car. Bucky hasn't got a superpower, but he is a trained assassin. Nick can go through walls. Rebecca can read minds. Abi is able to create nuclear explosions with her hands. Paris is a shapeshifter. And you?' Murray asked, finally taking a breath.
'Hypnotiser? I can control how people think, feel, speak and act.' I replied, tipping myself upside down the recliner and fidgeting like crazy.
'Great. We want you on our team. We'll pay for your belongings and teach you multiple skills.' Murray beamed.
'Do I get to speak with my family and friends?'
'No' Alex replied.
'Do I get to grab valuable items and belongings from home?'
'No'
'Do I get to keep my job and go to the same school?'
'No'
'Then it's a no deal' I finished getting up and leaving for the exit.
'Don't leave, I'm sure we can compromise ' Nick said as the group surrounded me. 'Nope' I said shoving through them down the hallway.
Suddenly multiple Grace's attacked me, as electricity zapped through me. I became the eye of an indoor tornado. A monster, Paris, slashed my skin as a sonic scream deafened me. I crumpled and screamed, hypnotising instantly 'Stop your power and do not hurt me!' I gasped as they stopped and tumbled backwards. Heaving myself off the ground I sprinted away from them further into the building.
I fled past all the closed doors and found myself at the gym. Running across the basket ball courts, through the main gym, through the tennis court I ended up at the pool. I slowly climbed in and let myself drift to the bottom, my cuts stinging as I did. Cooling off and relaxing a bit. I only stayed like this for a couple of minutes as I needed to breath. As I popped my head up I heard footsteps. I swam quickly to the opposite end of the pool, erasing my thoughts and staying completely still, not as easy to find.
Nick was the first to enter the pool area. I took a breath and swam to the bottom. Then I passed out.
