I could hear Nicks footsteps running down the hall. He threw himself onto me giving me a bear hug. 'Oof' I said under my breath as my stiff muscles were pressed against him.
'Sorry' Nick said sheepishly. 'You see I felt so bad it's my fault that you jumped. I should've helped you. I didn't know you were so hurt. I-' Nick rambled but I cut him off. 'I made the decision to jump. I was very confused and upset. Jumping gave me a rest from life. I am ok.' I reassured him gesturing for another hug. 'I'm sorry I stressed you out.' I apologised rubbing his back as he cried into me. 'I'm sorry too.' He said.
Nick and I lay in my bed for the rest of the day talking and bonding. It was sweet, it warmed my heart and made me genuinely smile.
I see potential to this friendship.
