"Well, I guess we can start at the top of
your list and go to the beach today," Lance said with a smile. "On the way, we're gonna listen to a summer vibe playlist someone else made on Spotify. We're also gonna sing the ads because we're not paying for Premium."

"Ok, but do you want to run by my house real quick so I can grab some things or do you want me to keep borrowing yours?"

"Keithy, have you already forgotten?"Keith gave him a puzzled look, then he continued, "You already have like half of your clothes here. My mom already washed them because she was tired of seeing dirty clothes on the floor, so you can just wear some of those or borrow some from me again."

Keith changed into his red swimming trunks and pulled one of Lance's shirts on as well. Lance changed into his blue swimming trunks and also put a shirt on. They slid some flip-flops on and went out to the car.

"Bye, everyone! Keith and I are going to the beach today!" Lance yelled on his way out. "Now hurry and leave before anyone says anything."

They scrambled out the door and started the drive. They sang along to most of the songs, and if they didn't know it, they just kinda danced to it. There were even a few songs that were a duo, which they could do and did very well. Lance loved listening to Keith sing because he had the smallest Southern twang on certain words. Keith already knew Lance could sing like a siren (mermaid type creatures who are known to lure sailors to death with their angelic singing), but every time he was still pleasantly surprised.

"Oh, look. It's right over there," Lance pointed out.

"I can practically smell the ice cream right now," Keith said. "Which you're paying for, by the way."

He looked so smug it made Lance mad.

"Uh uh, not so fast. You didn't read all of them. Because I don't know the last one, you get to pay."

"What? I told you the last one was a surprise!" Keith half-exploded our. "I can't tell you because then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore."

"You're just trying to get out of paying," Lance teases, knowing he'd end up paying anyway.

"Ugh," Keith groaned. "Just go back to singing."

"We're here anyway," Lance said.

He parked the car, and they got out with their stuff. A middle-aged lady seemed to be waddling over to them with a wide smile.

"Do you know her?" Lance whispered in a panicked hurry.

"No! Do you? She seems like she'd know you," Keith also whispered in a rush.

"You think she knows me? Do I look like I hang out with"-

"Hi boys! My daughter saw you two from the second you came out of your cute little car, and she said knew you!" the lady said, beaming.

Lance looked around to see the daughter she was talking about and said, "Well, where is she? Did she tell you to come over here?"

"No, she was too embarrassed, so I thought I could get you guys to go talk to her," she said, still smiling.

"Right, well I guess bring us over there and we can all play a game of sand volleyball or something," Lance said, patting the volleyball he brought.

The lady started waddling away toward some people on a large towel.

"Allura!" she yelled rudely.

"Oh, we do know her," Lance said. "If she didn't want to talk to us it's probably just because she's busy or something."
