Shiro's Escape

Keith and Harmony were hanging out on the bridge, waiting for everyone else to arrive. It was completely silent. Both were afraid that if they spoke, they would say the wrong thing.

"I'm sorry." Keith looks up from his chair.

"What?"

"I'm sorry. About everything. About trying to kill you, about trying to steal the Red Lion from you, all of it," Harmony says with her arms crossed looking down. She looks up at him with a slightly worried expression. Keith looks at her for a moment, thinking of what to say. He doesn't. He just smiles, as if to say 'I forgive you'. Which was a weird thing for Keith, not that Harmony would know that. She smiles back, a little more relaxed. The door opens, revealing the rest of the team, except Shiro, for he was still in the healing pod.

"Who's the pretty lady?" Lance asks. Keith groans and drops his head into his hands.

"Her name is–" Keith starts, his head still in his hands.

"My name is Harmony. And I'm a Specialis Lupi," Harmony states. Pidge, Hunk, and Lance stare at her for a moment, before bombarding her with questions.

"Where do you come from?"

"Why are your pupils white?"

"Are you a werewolf?!" Every head in the room slowly turns towards Lance.

"What?" he asks innocently. Everyone groans, except Harmony.

"What is a 'werewolf'?"

"You know, humans that turn into dangerous wolves when the moon is full and... oh... Now I see why I shouldn't have asked that..." Lance explains. Harmony stares at him for a moment, a nervous look on her face.

"No... I'm not a werewolf... but..." Harmony doesn't know how to continue.

"But..." Keith says, motioning with his hand for her to continue. She sighs, but continues hesitantly.

"My people are not werewolves. But there are those who have similar tendencies of what you just described. They've been corrupted by magic, and because of this, they've gone insane. My people aren't built to use, or have powerful magic used on them. Things such as healing magic are one of the few types of magic we can withstand. But any other kind is considered illegal where I come from."

Everyone stares at Harmony for the tenth time it felt like. Eventually, after Harmony explains who she is a bit more, and why she's there, Lance, Pidge, and Hunk warmed up to her.

"Well welcome to the team! I'm Lance," Lance says in a flirtatious tone. Keith rolls his eyes, but was surprised to hear Harmony giggling. Lance looking very proud of himself only made Harmony laugh harder. Keith then understands that she wasn't laughing because she was charmed, she was laughing because of how ridiculous it was. It made Keith smile a bit.

"Hi! I'm hunk. I'm curious, what kind of foods do you have on your planet?" Hunk asks.

"Well, my favorite food is Oreo glacies crepito secunda mensa and my favorite drink is bibere citrea," Harmony answered. Hunk stares blankly at her, since he doesn't understand her language. None of them did.

"I'm Pidge, and you speak another language! That's so cool!" Pidge says. Harmony laughs again.

"Yes, I speak many languages actually. My race of the ability to learn almost anything very quick, only taking a few months to become fluent in almost any language. Emperor Zarkon often had me be a sort of "ambassador" for the Galra," Harmony looked down, her hair falling over her face, her voice quieting. "But that was after a very long time in... in laboratorium in druidae est scriptor."
