Alex's P.O.V.

When I wake to next morning my body is pleasantly sore. Amethyst is nowhere in sight so I assume that she is off doing something with Taisei and Reikai. I roll out of bed and stretch, grabbing my pants off the floor. I grab a white t-shirt out of my bag and exit the tent, putting it on. I spot Amethyst squealing as Taisei holds her on his shoulders. Reikai is holding his mate on his shoulders and the two girls are hitting each other with sticks. Topaz is standing near them with his arms crossed, shaking his head. Always so serious. Rose appears behind me, grabbing my leg. "Hello Rose" I say, and she looks up at me. She smiles and then runs off toward Topaz.

That little dragon girl is really shy. Amethyst spots me and smiles, waving her stick at me. I wave back, and in her distraction Sakuya hits her right in the face with her own stick. Amethyst falls backward, causing Taisei to fall with her. I laugh at the two of them as they land in a pile on the ground. Other villagers are staring at them, their faces serious. Cant these elves have a little fun?

Amethyst runs over to me, jumping up and wrapping her legs around my hips. "Good morning!" She smiles, kissing me on the lips. She hops off of me and grabs my hand, bringing me over to the others.

"Finally. Lets go have breakfast"

After breakfast Aina comes and finds us, worry evident on her face. "The sorcerers know of your location. Battle is highly unlikely, but we need to be prepared"

"How can we help?" Amethyst asks, stepping forward.

"I'm afraid it would be too much to ask you to battle with our warriors" Aina says, looking toward the armory.

"Topaz and I would be glad to help. As long as Rose and Alex stayed out of it" Amethyst says, and Aina smiles.

"Let's get training then!"

Amethyst's P.O.V.

"Are you sure about this?" I shout down to Reikai as I stand on a ledge holding a rope. There is about a 50 foot drop below me, and I can almost feel my knees clicking together as I shake from fear.

"Yeah it's totally safe! Besides, if you fall Taisei will catch you!" Reikai reassures me, and I stare at the ledge on the other side of the ravine. I can do this. Sure, I might have an intense fear of heights. "Ready? Go!" I jump off the ledge and scream like a little girl, letting go of the rope. I squeeze my eyes shut as tight as I can, and suddenly I hit something with a thud. This is it. I hit the ground and broke every bone in my body. I peek one eye open, afraid of what I'm going to see.

"Usually you're able to get over to the other side if you keep your eyes open" Taisei chuckles, setting me down on the ground. I let out a relieved sigh. I'm not dead.

"Maybe we should start with something simpler..."

"Sword fighting!?" I ask, excitement running through me. Reikai glances at Taisei and lets out a sigh.

"Fine"

I spin the sword in my hand a few times as Reikai cracks his knuckles, trying to look menacing. I roll my eyes at him and laugh, putting a hand on my hip. "Are you guys just going to stare at eachother or actually fight?" Taisei asks from his spot outside the battle court and Reikai sticks his tongue out at him. "GO!" Taisei shouts, and Reikai grabs his sword.

"I'll try to go easy on you" Reikai runs toward me, obviously very confident in himself. I block his sword with mine before it can pierce my shoulder, using it to push him back. Reikai smiles at me before running at me again. I knock him back again, this time turning around and hitting his arm lightly with my sword.

"Oops, lost your arm" I say, and Reikai narrows his eyes at me. Swing. Swing. Swing. I pushed forward, swinging at him with a number of attacks. Reikai backed up a bit, then moved toward me again, swinging at me. My sword stood like a wave-beaten rock and took the blow like it was nothing. I tightened my grip and smashed him back swifter than the twinkling of an eye. In shock he lost his grip and his sword dropped. Clink. Clink.

"Amethyst wins" Taisei shouts, highfiving me.

"When did you get that good?" Reikai asks, running over to me.

"When you started chasing me around with a sword all the time? I had to learn to defend myself somehow." I laugh, and Reikai rolls his eyes. Suddenly, some sort of horn is blown out of nowhere. Taisei swiftly turns toward the center of the village.

"Quick, the sorcerers know you're here. They're coming. We have to get you to the armory" Taisei grabs my arm and pulls me forward toward the armory. He sets me down in there and an elfin with white hair stares at us. "Get her some armor" Taisei says as he runs into the town to find his own armor. The elfin leads me into the back room, measuring almost every part of my body. He mumbles to himself as he uses an unusual magic to create a silvery/lilac armor. He hands me a black leotard of some sort and I go into the changing room to put it on. It's like an all black one-piece swimsuit, with long sleeves and attached gloves at the ends. The material is strange, molding to my body perfectly.

When I step out of the changing room, the man instructs me to put out my arms, so I do. He attaches the back part of the armor onto my back, two flaps coming up by my neck. the front goes around my stomach, just below my boobs. The arm part is attached nect, covering my entire arm but still allowing me to bend it, stopping just on the top of my hand so my fingers are free. A metal hoop is placed around my hips, a lilac skirt attached to it. The front is open, and the skirt goes down to my ankles. A magic staff of some sort is attached to the back of my armor in a holder, a sword in it's hilt on my side.

"That should do it, the black leotard will shield you from magic attacks and the armor is impenetrable. None the less, try to be careful" The man says as I pull my lavender hair into a ponytail.

"Will do. Thank you!" I shout, heading into town. I find Taisei there and he stares at me for a moment with his mouth open. "Close your mouth. What can I help with?" I ask, and Taisei nods his head a few times before responding.

"Get the elfin out of the village and lead them into the forest. Meet me back here when you're done"

"Will do, oh and Taisei?" He looks over at me, and I bite my lip. "Don't let Alex try to help. I don't want him hurt"
