UGH I CAN'T SLEEP!! Crawling out of the tent being careful not to wake up Char I start walking down to the lake. I walk out onto the dock and sit down with my feet in the water. I look up and see lots of stars, it is so peaceful out here. I hear the dock boards creak behind me and I turn around to see Rico walking towards me. He sits down next to me and we sit their in a comfortable silence just enjoying each others company.
"You couldn't sleep either?"
I shook my head in response.
"You know what is crazy?" He asks. I don't answer sensing that it was a rhetorical question.
"A year ago I was cold hearted and mean to everyone except Rose and occasionally Rex and the twins. And now I have three kids and have never been happier."
I lean my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me.
"I love you Dad."
He freezes and I thought it was to soon when he relaxed and engulfed me in a hug.
"I love you too kiddo."
And to think a couple months ago I was an orphan and now I have a family to call my own.
