Yes, I know Abigail. I know how much you hate me, how much you loathe my mother, how much you desired my father to be yours. That's why I researched your past.

- "Your mother was a bitch and a slut." -

I slapped her. She held her face and showed a frightened face.

- "Vivian!" - My mother shouted.

I looked around and I knew something was up. She was planning this. It would always work in my past life because you had Nathaniel by your side, but unlike them, my parents and I know how to handle you.

- "How could you say such a thing Abigail? I thought we were family!! But… I guess I was wrong." -

I said teary. It seemed to catch her off guard. Yes, I know how to play your game. I have been playing it for three lifetimes.

- "What is the meaning of this Vivi?" -

- "Mother, sister Abbie said… *sniff*… that you were a bitch. She also said I wanted to get rid of her. Why would I do something so horrible?" -

I hugged her. The maids whispered among themselves. I could hear a little of what they were saying. It was bad for Abigail at least.

- "I don't understand what she meant, mother. How was all of this supposed to be hers?" -

- "Don't worry Vivi. I'll take care of this." -

She let go of me, walked up towards Abigail and slapped her. She seemed even more shocked.

- "I felt guilty because of what happened to your mother so I asked my husband to adopt you. He was against it, but I still insisted because you were a child and your mother was my friend. I didn't think you would be so ungrateful. My daughter treated you kindly but you spit it back in her face. I won’t kick you out of the mansion but please at least do not dishonor our family." -

My mother turned her back to her. She gritted her teeth while holding her cheeks.

- "I'm sorry… Could you forgive me?" - She said with a pitiful face.

- "Of course, so please don't say anything like that ever again." - I said, holding her hand.

- "Vivian!" - My mother shouted. She never shouts.

- "Not now. Abigail needs to be disciplined. Where is your father?" -  My mother sounded cold.

- "Oh, he's sleeping soundly. He was working so hard. I suggested that he rested for a bit."

-*Sigh* "Ah yes, he has been working hard lately. I was worried as well. Now you Abigail, go to your bedroom and don't come out until I or the Duke say so. As of now you are grounded." - My mother spoke coldly to her.

She walked away in a hurry. My mother closed her eyes and sighed. She looked at me once more.

- "I know you were eager for a sibling, but you shouldn't be so quick to forgive. So, for now, you will not be spending time with her." -

- "Okay mother" - I said, making a sad face.

I was having one of my tea parties with some noble ladies. It's something I always enjoyed doing.

- "Lady Vivian, I heard that lady Abigail insulted the duchess a few days ago." -said lady Liliane.

- "After all the duchess did for her… She, a mere commoner, dared to insult a highly and gentle noble woman. The nerve!!" -  said lady Georgia.

- "I don't know… Maybe she was angry about something, but I will give her another chance and educate her on what to do and what not to do in high society. I was so caught up in the time we spent together that I forgot to help her." - I said sweetly.

- "Oh, lady Vivian, you're so generous! By the way, I heard the prince recovered recently. I saw him the other da-" -

- "Lady Liliane" - lady Ripley said undertone.

Lady Liliane then stopped. She seemed to remember my old ways, but now I've changed.

- "Go on, it's okay. I'm curious." -

She seemed surprised. I sipped the tea. I remained calm.

- "You have really changed, lady Vivian." -

- "I have." -  I said.

- "Yes, usually if I even mentioned his highness, you would have shouted. But now, not only do you have more charisma like an empress, also you seem more gentle and graceful. Did something happen?" -

- "It's lovely for you to sing me praises, but no, nothing happened. I just thought that maybe I should become a better role model for my sister." -

It just comes to me naturally. After all, I was an empress in three lifetimes.

- "I think that is great! As I was saying, I saw the prince. He was having a conversation with sir Michael. Then his majesty saw me and came up to me. He asked if I was one of your friends. He even asked how you were doing and all!!!" -

The tea tasted bitter in my mouth. Nathaniel is calculating his next move. The empress most likely had said something. She wants me to think that he cares for me and that way, win my heart. Then I will accept to marry him... But I will not fall for it. My heart can't take a single more heartbreak.

I smiled at lady Liliane politely.

- "Oh, that's all?" -
