y'all deserve a real chapter from me

-

two weeks later

Increasingly, Harrison and I have been getting closer. And by closer I mean closer to having sex, but there always seems to be something that cock blocks us.

The first time was when we were heavily making out in my room and just has Harrison's belt was being undone we heard the sound of my mom's feet getting louder as she approached the cracked door to my room. And not knowing what to do or how to react, I ended up kicking Harrison off the bed.

The second time we were in the pool just having a water fight when it turned into us grinding feverishly against one another because we thought we'd have the house all to ourselves, but when we heard the sound of a car pulling into the driveway. We pulled apart as if we had both been burned. And I may or may not have ended up slightly drowning Harrison as an attempt to act natural.

The other times weren't nearly as close as those, but they still didn't have a happy ending.

"What are you doing tonight," Harrison mutters in my ear as he throws his arm around my shoulders.

Brandon, Justin, Caleb, Harrison, and I were currently walking around the mall. After Justin voiced how strongly he felt about us doing nothing but hanging out at Harrison's house all the time, he decided to borrow his brother's car so we could walk around all day window shopping.

"Nothing. Probably just watch YouTube until I fall asleep," I answer, glancing at the styled mannequins in the windows of the stores we pass. "Why?"

He smiled. "I was thinking I could come over?"

Without thinking I looked at him with a confused expression and asked, "What for?"

Winking, he said nothing as he waited for me to understand the meaning behind his question.

"Ohhh," I said in realization. "No."

I could see Harrison pout dramatically, but chose to ignore it. I know that if I look I wouldn't be able to help but smile. Of course I was going to let him come over, but I definitely wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of jumping at the first chance to say yes.

"Ooo, let's go in the lego store," Caleb squeals, making Brandon jump slightly.

"No," we all say in unison.

He furrows his brows in disappointment. "Come on, why not?"

"Because we aren't children," Brandon states in his usual monotone voice.

"Not with that attitude, we aren't," Caleb defends. "What about you, Justin? You're the one who wanted us to come out together. So what if it's at the lego store?"

Knowing exactly how this would end, I silently started to back away since Caleb had the attention of all the boys. It always amazed me how Caleb could capture everyone's attention while rambling on about the smallest things. Not my attention, but everyone else's.

When I was at a safe enough distance, I sped walked to the escalators that led one floor up.

I don't know how much time had passed since I left the group. So far I've been to four or five stores just browsing when my feet started hurting and I found an area to sit and charge my phone.

I do not understand how some people are able to walk around malls for more than an hour. My feet are killing me.

"Hi, is this seat taken," a masculine voice asked me, disrupting my furious scroll of boredom on the my Instagram's explore page. Looking up, I'm met with friendly green eyes.

"Oh," I say as my mind seemingly blanks from the suddenness of this interaction.

"Shit, sorry. No, it isn't," I rush out once I come back to earth and notice the curiosity in his eyes. With a small laugh, he plops down next to me. "Zoned out for a second, huh?"

I chuckle. "Yeah. I do that sometimes."

"Me too. Especially when I'm unexpectedly spoken to," he says with a small small, showing his deep dimples. I almost instantly swoon at the sight of his beauty feature. I've always been a sucker for dimples and green eyes, so the fact that he has both is making me swoon.

"Exactly!" I tend to overshare with strangers and I could just feel myself getting ready to do just that when my phone let out an alert that I had a message.

the bros and the hoe

caleb: hoe, where did you run off to?

justin: and why aren't you answering the phone?

brandon: they're looking for you.

Rolling my eyes, I don't respond since I know they'll find me eventually. Sadly, they always managed to.

"Here with friends," the handsome stranger asked.

I nod my head. "Yeah, but I kinda ditched them," I laugh. "How about you?"

"I brought my little sister and her friends, but as you can see they gave me their bags and ditched me," he explains as he motions to the bags labeled with Claire's and H&M.

"Ah. You've been ditched and I ditched my friends."

"The ditched and the ditcher," he adds, once again showing off his cheeks. I mirror his expression before a comfortable silence washed over us.

"So what's your name," I ask him before I forgot to.

"Elijah, but everyone calls me Eli. What's yours?"

But before I could open my mouth to answer, someone else had beat me to the punch.

"Jordyn!"
