Cleo's POV
"Wait what????" I said while jumping out of my seat.
"I know this comes as a surprise ,Cleo but your father got a really good job there. I think this will be great for our family." My mom said looking at me.
"No, you guys are lying you would never do this to me. What about my friends? What about our home? What about Luke?? Oh my god Luke how am I going to tell him?" I asked them. They both looked at me with apologetic eyes. I couldn't even look at them right now so I just ran up to my room. Once I got there I jumped onto my bed, buried my head into my pillow, and then just cried.
All I can think about right now is Luke. How is he going to react to me being gone? More so, how am I going to react to not having him? My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing.

Just looking at that text made me cry harder. I didn't respond and I just put my phone on 'do not disturb' mode. I heard a knock on my door and my mom walked in. I turned away from the door so she couldn't see my face
"Cleo?" I stayed quite
"Cleo I know you're not asleep" we both stayed quite for a while before I felt the bed sink down at the end.
"I understand why you're upset but ignoring me won't help." My mom said in a quite tone. I rolled my eyes before turning to her. I didn't say anything before turning away again just to prove my point.
My mom sighed, "You know this really is a good opportunity and a great thing for our family."
I whipped around to her.
"Ya mom. You are taking me away from all of my friends and my home and moving me to the other side of the world where I know no one, but it's allllll ok because it's a great opportunity!" I said in a mocking tone. My mom sighed again and rubbed my leg.
"I'm going to let that one go because I know you're hurting" She said, "but give it time. Everything will be ok" She then preceded to walk out of my room leaving me alone to cry until it wasn't possible anymore.
