The birdsong drifts as well as any summertime pollen. It comes as magical as any flute, as improvised as deep south jazz, and as soulful as love's kiss, it is very pleasing to hear. The sky is as clear as water, no sign of rain will be pouring that day.
It's been days after that night, Dio already parting ways and decided not to stay there any longer. They woke up early than usual since Joseph have another plan for them. Summer trip. Jotaro refuse to go but can't help it since his brother keep bothering him about it.
"It's time for summer trip! Boys, are you ready or not?" Joseph shouts, his head peering inside Jotaro's bedroom. Both Kakyoin and Jotaro haven't talk to each other ever since that incident happened.
"Yes." Jotaro replies with one word, without any enthusiasm. He reaches out for his bag and get out from the room without single glance to Kakyoin. He don't want this, he hates this but he didn't know how to fix this problem. His head is such a mess.
Kakyoin looks up at Joseph, smiling gently, "yeah, I guess." He gets up, his stuffs are not that much since this plan is kinda sudden for them. Joseph observe his bag, smirk make it's own way to his lips.
"I don't think that's enough. You need a lot of stuff. Like seriously, Kakyoin..." He's faking his headache, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers. Shaking his head slightly only to receive confuse look from the red head.
"Hm? Oh it's fine. I don't-" Kakyoin didn't get to finish his words. Joseph interrupt him as Jotaro walk inside to fetch his hat, "Joot! Follow Kakyoin to his house, he needs to take some of his clothes." He throws the car key to his brother who catch it like a pro catcher.
"Eh but Joestar-senpai, I don't need any-" once again, he can't even finish the sentence, Joseph ushering both of them out of the house. Grinning, he winks at Kakyoin. 'Ah, this must be something stupid that he planned.' Kakyoin's thought got interrupt by Jotaro's voice.
"...let's go" is all Jotaro says before walking towards the driving seat. Starting the engine, he wait patiently for Kakyoin to enter the car. Kakyoin found himself smiling at Jotaro's react, he didn't even object his brother's demand. When usually, he is such a stubborn person.
"Yes, let's go." Kakyoin takes a deep breath before entering the passenger seat beside the driver. The ride was silent but somehow, Kakyoin found it comforting. Jotaro as always, enjoying Kakyoin's presence but still guilty of what he said the night Dio's telling them the truth.
"Umm...Nori, I-" Jotaro starts carefully, searching for the right words to say. He never really say sorry properly and never really care about it but not right now. He wants to properly say it to Kakyoin.
Kakyoin chuckles under his breath, he swear that Jotaro has been acting cute lately, "you?" turn his gaze to Jotaro who glued his eyes infront of him. Focusing on his driving, he takes a deep breath, silently hoping for Kakyoin to understand his intention.
"About that night, you know. I'm...sorry. I shouldn't have said that to you." Jotaro sighs, he didn't even realised he's been holding his breath. Not daring to look at the person beside him, not even a glance.
"And if I don't forgive you?" Instead of directly said what is really in his mind, Kakyoin decided to tease the brunette. It's fun to see Jotaro trying his best to say that magical 'sorry' word, he looks so awkward.
