What Mariah just told him is literally not only a bluff, no girls are able to get too close to the brunette. It's either Avdol and Polnareff distracting the girls who are trying or he just straight up ignoring their whining yet that didn't work for the girls.
Kakyoin chuckles when he saw Jotaro keep glancing at his direction and everytime he caught their eyes locked with each other, the brunette will occasionally grins and winking his eye. Kakyoin is now sure that Jotaro is in a very good mood today.
The red head feeling bad for not be able to help them as planned. He wants to casually went out there and start to do his work nut Mariah will scold him for that. Not to be mention, Jotaro will also get mad at him because of that.
His phone keep buzzing every now and then, it's a chat from Oingo. The black-haired keep asking him if he comes to the festival or not. Making Kakyoin in dilemma of whether he should telling Oingo that he will work here for today or lie to him and said that he is sick.
Debate with himself sure is tiring, "what the fuck did I thinking about? Just tell him, it's not that you're doing something embarrassing!" Kakyoin slaps himself and regretting it immediately after. He sighs, typing the reply to Oingo and press the send button.
"Kakyoin, come here! We need a hand at the front!" He heard Mariah's voice from infront. Finally, there's something he can do. He puts his phone away and rushing out, only to be greeted by a lot of customers and some of them still waiting for someone to take their order.
He flashes his bright smile, approaching the table that occupied by the group of girls - probably their kouhai, "I'm sorry for the wait. May I have your order, m'lady?" Even himself didn't expect that he can act so natural when it comes to this.
The girls look at him with awe, one of them is blushing while the others fangirling without even behaving themselves. Girls really are incredible. Kakyoin stand there keeping his sweet smile, and waiting patiently for them to tell him their orders.
"Damn, he's good at this. Look at how he taking their heart with his look." Mariah chuckles, nudging Jotaro - who is staring at them, no, glaring at them with such concentration. "Don't show that face around here okay? The girls might get scared by it."
Jotaro turns his menacing glare at light coloured hair girl beside him, she still have this irritatingly smug smile, Jotaro heave out a sigh, "Mariah, don't you have a work to do?" His voice is as low as a whisper yet it sounded as intimidated as his gaze.
"Hey! I'm the head chef here okay?" Mariah acting like she is offended by Jotaro's question. She hit him in the arm using the back of her hand and laughing when he stare at her with a look that can kill people.
"Then go." Jotaro says calmly, instead of request it sounded more like a demand. Or perhaps like a warning - a warning for her to stop teasing him, or he will officially become a murder.
"Alright jelly man, fine~" Mariah lets her tongue out in a playful way, she wink before hopping her way to the kitchen. Yes, she don't really have much work to do - she like to cook something more complex other than a simple dish that their customers ordered.
"How come we never saw you before this?" One of the girl inquiries confidently, looking up to admire Kakyoin's face or whatever she looking at.
