As we lined up in Enigma's Lab, we could sense an air of desperation and finality. Nobody said a word for a while, and I immensely lacking in possessing patience as a virtue, bit the bullet.
" So what's with the long faces?" I asked
Dell's face threatened to drop the serious expression, nevertheless she continued
"I appreciate you trying to lighten the mood Luna, But the situation is graver than ever. I will not beat about the bush. You obviously know that there is usually a 2 month period of transition in which every selected collector is specially trained before they go out in search of the relics."
We nodded
"Well, you only have five days." she continued.
Our faces morphed into a multitude of expressions majorly centering around shock, anger, acceptance and back to the facade of calmness, that every trainee had perfected over the twelve odd years they spent in the academy ,all in a few seconds.
"You do realize we're the last collectors?" Kate said
"Five days" Emma thought out aloud
"Five days" echoed Raven, her voice laced with a touch of indignance.
"We'll have to be ready. We don't have any choice" summarized Levi.
"Do we even have any idea where to start?" I asked, trying to formulate a plan to keep us alive and safe out there. It would do nobody any good to have the last collectors of Panagea running around like a bunch of headless chickens.
"As of now, we know the location of the sword, and I have estimated the location of the trident" Enigma stated in a soft yet piercing voice. "The remaining seven although, we have no clue. However...." he said almost deliberately prolonging the suspense.
" I could deduce was that the generals left clues. One of them just so happens to be a scroll. Which I have in my possession. I found it in the Library years ago. Yet, I have not even come close to solving the scroll." he continued.
We gaped at the ridiculousness of the knowledge we had just been dealt. To make it clear, let me list it out.
1) The generals left CLUES to the locations.
2) We had one of the said clues.
3) Our best brain couldn't solve the above mentioned clue.
Which lead us right back to square one.
Enigma pushed open a panel in his desk and quickly rotated in a password and with a click, a small inner panel opened. He took out a yellowed piece of paper and held it out to us. Kate stepped forward and took the paper, gingerly holding it so as to avoid damaging it.
"I now leave it in your care. Hopefully, for the sake of all Pangeans, you have better luck with it than I did." Enigma said, heaving a huge sigh.
The heavy atmosphere had almost become stifling and this time, I had no wisecrack in me to even attempt to diffuse the situation. Which is, if I may say so, A huge deal. We maintained the stoic silence, not knowing how to respond.
"You.."
"Trainees.."
Both Dell and Master Shiro started off at the same time. He stopped and gestured towards Dell, indicating her to go on.
"You will train with master Shiro for the next five days. On the fifth day, you will join us at the amphitheatre where we will be conducting the ceremony. We will also inform the rest of the academy of our current.....situation."
"That's all. You are dismissed." master Shiro said loudly, cutting her off.
We bowed and quickly exited the lab with a mirror image of the air of finality I had initially tried to dispel buzzing around our heads.

Obviously we all burst out at the same time. That is, when we were safely away from prying ears ,eyes and any other parts prone to prying, as in, the moment we poured into the gym like an oncoming tidal wave.
"Five days. Do they think we have super powers or something?" Burst out Emma.
"I know right? Exactly what are they expecting from us?" Raven asked sarcastically
" Oh nothing much really. You know, Just become top notch collectors, get through specialized training in five days and of course, change the course of history. All while handling the pressure of being the last collectors." I replied with a serious expression, contradictory to the sarcastic tone of my words.
Peals of laughter sounded throughout the gym.
"Did you see her face?" Noah got out in the middle of his wild laughter
"It was-"
"Ridiculous-"
"Change the course of history-"
I couldn't help but grin along with them. It did seem mighty ridiculous when put like that.
Everyone was sprawled out on the floor mat, laughing and echoing my words. Soon a comfortable silence fell upon us.
"Disregarding the ridiculousness of Lu's statement, It does give of some serious save the world vibes right? " Ryan's voice rang out.
"Does that mean we'll have to have pseudonym's now? Like Superman? Or Spiderman?" Noah asked, his voice completely serious.
"Definitely" Levi replied, playing along
"Then I'm going to be......AXE" said Ajax after a moment of consideration, pride evident on his face"
He was sadly met by blank, confused faces.
" You know, A-jax? A-XE?" He continued.
We stared back at him, faces still blank, pretending not making the connection
"You don't get me?" He said, slightly dejected?
"Nope" Said Dean laying back down, his palms behind his head.
And with that we followed Dean's example, gradually falling asleep to the false sense of peace lingering in the gym.
