24. Finding Finn Pt. 1

Evangelina's POV

"Oh my, no......Finn"

I start to run down the hallways shouting his name.

"Finn! Finn! Oh my god, Finn!"

I am really worried right now. He can't be to far from here.

Right?

I continue to run down the hallways, the last bell of the day just rung.

People are still here. Maybe I can ask them if they have seen Finn.

I run up to a guy that's in Finn and I's history class.

"Greg, have you seen Finn?!"

"Jeez women, you look like you got run over by a truck."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Have you seen Finn?!"

"Yeah, he left the school in a rush after the bell."

"Oh no."

"What, what's wrong?"

"I need to go."

He can see the panic in my eyes.

I start to run the other direction, to get out of the school quicker.

"Wait! Evangelina, what's going on?!"

I don't reply to him. I'm to busy worrying and thinking of all the bad things Finn must be thinking right now.

Greg starts to slowly run after me, but I run faster.

Faster than I've ever ran before.

I finally get out the door.

Hopefully Greg doesn't follow.

Memories of Finn's sentences of his letters start to pop into my head.

"I'm gonna call you Beauty"

"You are the def. of beauty, to me"

"You're beautiful, Beauty"

"You are the Beauty, I am the Beast"

"The both of us Evangelina, the both of us"

"You gave me hope"

"I trusted you with everything"

"You are the liar, not me"

"I shouldn't have done a lot of things"

"It makes me a broken fighter"

"Everything in my life is basically gone now"

"You're really the only one I can talk to at this point"

"I hope what I told you, didn't scare you away"

"Tell me, please"

"...Jump off a cliff and land into the rocky ocean"

"Goodbye, Evangelina"

I know where Finn is heading, and I don't like what he's planning.

Please, don't do anything Finn, is the only thing on my mind as I run to the closest ocean from here.
