The Journey Continues: Devil May Cry 1 (Dante x reader) Book 2: Rewrite

Mission 17:(Rewrite)

(Y/n) POV

Me and Dante were able to go through the painting portal before we were in a room that looks familiar, "This room looks familiar." I said to myself.  Dante just tells me, "It's where we were getting the first rusty key." Dante said to me.  I just nod my head at Dante before we start walking around the room before going upstairs, we noticed one of the rooms to see one of the puppet demons, so me and Dante start attacking the demon.  The puppet demon was dead, so we start walking upstairs again.

Once we got upstairs, we saw a dead end, but we noticed something different from here.  We noticed two different paintings that hasn't had anything at all.  Me and Dante got closer to the paintings before we noticed one of the paintings start to move a bit before we see something in the painting.  The painting has changed into some kind of battlefield, "Hang on tight." Dante said to me.  I looked at Dante before I wrapped my arms around Dante's neck before I felt Dante's arms wrapped around my waist before Dante jumps in the painting.  It still felt weird being in some kind of portal, but once the feeling was gone.  We let go of each other before we start walking towards the doors.

As soon we were near the doors.  But before we could open them, we noticed the doors was now curse.  Me and Dante turn around to hear something up, so we look over there to see some kind of frost demons before they start to jump down to attack us.  Me and Dante got out of the way.  I pulled out my guns before firing it at the demons, while Dante goes into his Devil Form before he starts firing his lightning at the two demons, but it was like taking forever to kill those two demons.  I just glance at Dante before yelling out to him, "Dante! It's no use! Don't waste your power too much!" I yelled out to Dante.  Dante gets out of his Devil Form before he starts fighting the demons with his sword.

The Frost Demons were throwing ice attacks at us, but I was starting to get cold already.  I even felt my own body start to slow down from getting cold from these demons.  Dante kept fighting the demons until they were finally dead, but I was freezing my ass off from those Frost Demons.  Once those two demons were gone.  We noticed the doors was not curse anymore.  I was shivering from the cold before Dante comes towards me before he puts his red coat on me.  Even though I was wearing my other jacket, "You need to be warm." Dante said to me.  I looked at Dante before telling him, "Thank you, Dante." I said to Dante with a small smile on my face.

Dante opens the doors for me before we were inside of the building, but of course there was demons in here.  Dante uses his Ifrit to attack the demons, while I was using my guns to fire at the demons.  But more and more demons keep coming and coming.  We were running towards the other side, but the doors look like they were missing an item, so we had to run around to look for the item.

Dante's POV

We were running around before we noticed other doors before, we opened them.  The room was just any kind of room, but we noticed something a little different, but we noticed a skeleton dinosaur was down at the very end at the hallway, "Weird." (Y/n) mutters out.  I just told (Y/n), "That it is weird." I said to (Y/n).  We were walking straight but also; we avoid the fireball that was going to hit us.  But as soon we got a little closer.  Me and (Y/n) got hit by nothing at all.  It was some kind of forcefield that was blocking us.

(Y/n) looks at me before she tells me, "Maybe, we have to get rid of the skeleton dinosaur or dragon." (Y/n) said to me.  We look at each other before we start to run back, but I waited for the right moment to swing back the fireball, so I could hit the dragon bones.  I had to do it so many times until I was able to get rid of it.  Once the bones were gone, I noticed (Y/n) start to move a lever before I noticed the spotlight is being move towards to something that was able to make it towards the top.

(Y/n) looks at me before she tells me, "I stay down here; besides, you need to get that item from up there." (Y/n) said to me.  I just nod my head at her before telling her, "Alright, but you better stay here." I said to (Y/n).  (Y/n) just nods her head at me before I start to jump up and making sure that I was able to get up there by myself before grabbing the item before putting it away in my pocket.  I leap down before I see (Y/n) there giving me back my red coat.  I grab my coat before putting it on.  I put the item in my coat pocket.  

Me and (Y/n) look at each other before we start walking towards the doors before opening them before we saw more of those puppet demons again before we start running away from the demons before we went back to the doors that was missing an item.  We were able to make it towards the doors before I place the item on the door before me and (Y/n) open the doors quickly.  We were in a room that looks really dark and gloomy, "This is creepy." (Y/n) says to me.  I just wrap my arm around (Y/n)'s waist before telling her, "Don't worry, I will always be there to protect you." I said to (Y/n).

(Y/n) just nods her head at me before we start walking towards the room, but we stop walking because the lightning from outside shows us a figure in the distance in the room.  The figure turns around and turns out it was that demon again.  The demon pulls out his sword.  I just smirk at this before I told the demon, "A man with guts and honor. We like that. But it's a shame you serve Mundus." I taunt the demon.  The demon puts his sword down before there was some kind of strong gust of wind.

I wrapped my arms around (Y/n), so she couldn't get blown away.  The demon was screaming a bit before the wind stops blowing before me and (Y/n) look at the demon to see his face has changed into a human face that has white hair and red eyes.  The demon starts to attack us, but we got out of the way before we noticed the demon was far away from us, but we noticed blue swords coming at us.  We dodge those blue swords, but those blue swords look familiar.  (Y/n) got a cut on her cheek from that demon's blue sword.

I looked at the demon with a lot of angry before I start firing my guns at the demon.  Until the demon was able to be defeat.  Once the demon was defeat, we noticed the demon was flying up in the air holding his head.  Me and (Y/n) back away from the demon, while the demon was screaming in pain.  The demon was going to be gone or dead because a bright light was blinding us, I pull (Y/n)'s head on my chest, so she doesn't see this at all.  Once the noise was gone, I look up to see something fall down on the floor.  (Y/n) removes her head off of my chest before I noticed the cut on her cheek before I rub her cheek with my gloves still on.

I was able to wipe some blood off of her cheek before I start walking towards the amulet that fall down on the floor.  I got down before grabbing the amulet before I started remembering the memory that my mother gave me and Vergil the amulets on our birthday's, 'Vergil, Dante, happy birthday.' My mother's voice said in my head.  I was still glaring at this before I felt (Y/n)'s hand touch my shoulder before she asks me, "You, okay?" (Y/n) ask me.  I just told (Y/n), "That was Vergil. My brother." I said to (Y/n).  (Y/n) looks at me before she gets down on her knees as well before she tells me, "Wow. I still can't believe that happened, but why would Mundus use Vergil like that?" (Y/n) ask me. 

I looked at (Y/n) before telling her, "I'm not sure, but we are going to stop Mundus together." I said to (Y/n).  (Y/n) just nods her head at me before she tells me, "Yeah, we will stop him together." (Y/n) said to me.  I just smile at (Y/n) before I pull (Y/n)'s head towards to my head before giving her a kiss on her lips before we pulled away from each other.  (Y/n) gets up before she sticks out her hand towards to me.  I just chuckled at her before grabbing her hand before she helps me up.

3rd Person Point of View

Somewhere out there in the demon world, we see Mundus talking to Trish, "Trish, Vergil has been defeated. You know what you must do." Mundus says to Trish.  Mundus just tells Trish, "Now go!" Mundus orders Trish.  Trish was quiet until she tells Mundus, "Yes, Master." Trish says to Mundus.  But before Trish could walk away, Mundus speaks out again, "Make sure that you get that woman that Dante is with. Her soul could be really useful to me, to make me stronger and that could make Dante more weaken of losing someone important to him." Mundus says to Trish.

Trish just tells Mundus, "Yes, Master." Trish said to her Master.  Trish starts walking away from her Master, so she could go stop Dante and kidnapped (Y/n) as well.
