Hey there! So, this isn't one of my poems, but it's a combination of two of my favourite songs: Happy by Leona Lewis and Happy by Natasha Beddingfield

I find both these songs to be total pick-me-ups, so I hope this little mash-up makes you HAPPY:)

I posted a video of Happy by Leona Lewis on the side, and a video of Happy by Natasha Beddingfield as an external link:)

HAPPY/HAPPY

Someone once told me that you have to choose

What you win or lose

You can't have everything

It all seems meaningless

I wish that I could step away and breathe

This world’s trying to swallow me

Clear away the clouds inside my head

Someone just tell me

That it’s ok now

So what if it hurts me?

What are you worrying about?

So what if I break down?

Got my dreams, got my life, got my love

So what if this world just throws me off the edge

My feet run out of ground

Got my friends, got the sunshine above

I gotta find my place

Why am I making this hard on myself?

I wanna hear my sound

Don't care about all the pain in front of me

When there’s so many beautiful reasons I have to be happy

People lie, people hide, people cry, people fight

But all these days, they feel like they're the same

I can't stand by your side, ohh no

And watch this life pass me by,

Preparing to battle an enemy unseen

Slowly disappear, ohh

If I’d be confessing that the enemy

I’m trying to beat is hiding inside of me.

Someone just tell me

That it’s ok now

So what if it hurts me?

What are you worrying about?

So what if I break down?

Got my dreams, got my life, got my love

So what if this world just throws me off the edge

My feet run out of ground

Got my friends, got the sunshine above

I gotta find my place

Why am I making this hard on myself?

I wanna hear my sound

Don't care about all the pain in front of me

When there’s so many beautiful reasons I have to be happy

I just wanna be happy…
