"First 'ears! First 'ears This way!" Remus and Luna started walking towards the booming voice. As they neared the source, they saw that it was a rather large man. Well not just rather large. Very large. Way too big for a normal sized person. Luna was only the size of his left leg. Well, a little more. But not much. "On the boats! Four to a boat!"

Not wanting to leave the other, Luna and Remus decided to climb into one together. They sat in comfortable silence as they observed the castle in the distance. Every window was lit with a comfortable glow that cut through the dark night. It was beautiful, and the moment itself was quite peaceful. That is until two more people entered the boat rather obnoxiously, almost causing Remus to fall in. Luckily, Luna had fast reflexes and was able to grab onto his robes.

"Are you going to apologize?" Luna asked the two boys rather aggressively. She was used to defending Remus to the kids in the villages where they lived. They called him weird and ugly names so Luna would fight them. No one attacked her family under her watch. Neither Remus nor her parents knew this, but the fighting was another reason why she started hanging out with Remus more over the past few years. Kids in the village would either be afraid of her or hate her because of her fantastic (subjective opinion) to kick their arses.

"Why would we do that?" The kid with messy brown hair and glasses asked.

"We didn't do anything wrong." His friend added. He had black hair that was trimmed perfectly. It sat on his head in such a way that one could tell lots of care had been put into it, but that it had gotten messed up over the course of the day.

Luna scoffed at the boys' lack of manners. "You almost knocked Remus into the lake because you don't have enough self control to enter a boat without almost flipping it. So yeah, I think you do owe him an apology."

"We're sorry, Remus." The messy brown hair kid said, drawing out Remus.

"I don't think you really meant it. Now try it again and actually try to sound genuine." Luna was getting increasingly angered by the obnoxious kids in front of her-it was her intolerance for stupidity acting up. Her arms were folded in front of her and her face was scrunched up. Remus both saw and sensed this change in demeanor. Knowing his sister for the past eleven years, he knew that if he didn't stop this immediately, blood would be shed tonight.

"It's okay Luna, I'm fine. It wasn't intentional." It always scared Remus when Luna got this way. He knew she would protect him with her life as she often held him in higher regard than herself. He didn't understand why. After all, who would think a monster is more deserving than a little girl? Sometimes, though, Remus answered that question himself. Luna, despite her small stature, can be very scary. Maybe it was a trick of the light, but Remus would swear on his life one time he saw Luna get so mad her eyes went black. One of the reasons he was so scared of everyone finding out about his secret is because Luna would probably get expelled for fighting anyone who dared to even look at him the wrong way.

"Luna, that's a pretty name" The black haired boy leaned forward. Luna was only eleven and therefore did not understand that this boy found her attractive. The boy barely understood it himself. His subconscious was only able to communicate that the girl in front of him was very intriguing, so that's all his conscious interpreted. Eleven year old's lack of self-awareness and general obliviousness to their feelings mean Luna only saw an insufferable boy invading her personal space.

"Back up" She growled.

"Woah there. No need to be so angry." The boy with black hair threw up his hands in defense. No one he had ever spent time with has ever growled at him. He grew up around refined purebloods of the highest regard. They kept perfect posture, enough to balance ten books on their heads. Their hair was always pulled back too tightly or slicked back with gel. Their clothes were made out of the finest material and their jewelry glittered in all the right places. They spoke like they lived in the 17th century and carried themselves like royalty. Because to most purebloods, they were royalty. So a girl with ratty light-brown hair acting like a dog in front of him was something Sirius never experienced.
