"Lily! Marlene!" Luna shouted as she spotted the blonde and redhead girls. Lily had traveled to the station with Marlene since Petunia, her younger sister, is a bit much for her parents to handle on days like this. Petunia desperately wanted to attend Hogwarts, but lacked magic, making her jealous of Lily and prone to tantrums.
The three girls took turns hugging each other before spotting their fourth friend coming onto the platform. They ran over to her and engulfed her in a group hug as well. "Well well, if it isn't the girls I've heard so much about" Lyall said as he entered the station behind his daughter. Luna would not shut up about her friends all holiday, leaving her parents very curious.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Lupin, How are you?" Lily said. One of her best skills is parents; they love her.
"I'm great, how are you?" Hope asked.
"I'm well" Lily replied with proper grammar.
"How about you introduce yourselves? We've heard so much about you but don't know your faces." The three girls took turns introducing themselves as Luna wished her parents could disappear. Luckily, she was saved when Marlene and Alice's parents came over and engaged her parents in conversation, allowing the girls to escape the boring talks.
Luna tried to find her brother and saw him standing over with Peter and James. She wondered where Sirius was, but a few seconds later she spotted him on the other side of the platform looking like Remus when he doesn't get his chocolate. Aka absolutely miserable. His parents looked prideful-they had perfect, rigid posture. His mom's pitch black hair was pulled back tightly into a bun (Luna rubbed her head just thinking about the strain on that woman's scalp) and she wore a deep maroon dress that could only be described as Victorian Upper-class status. His father wore a three piece suit with an ascot, which contrasted sharply with Luna's own father who wore jumpers and jeans everywhere. Luna wasn't even sure Lyall knew where one could purchase an ascot. Someone else was standing next to Sirius. The two boys looked very similar, giving Luna the impression that Sirius had a brother. but he's never mentioned one she thought. But the resemblance was too much for it to not be true. They had to be related somehow.
"Earth to Luna" Marlene waved her hands in front of her friend's face. "I asked you if you wanted to visit the elves in the kitchens once we get back? I've been missing their food so much. In the McKinnon household it's everyone for themselves and just pure chaos." Contrary to Sirius, Marlene had talked about her numerous siblings and the terror they inflicted upon the McKinnon household.
Shaken out of her observation of the Black family, Luna responded. "Absolutely! I can't wait. I love my mum's cooking, but the house-elves are just pure magic."
"Don't you know it. oh! And my mom packed some snacks for us for the ride."
"perfection" A grin grew on Luna's face as she thought of the binge-session she and Marlene were going to have today. She saved some chocolate just for her, which for the Lupin family is literally like giving a piece of their soul away. She also had one piece for Alice and Lily each because she felt bad saving some for Marlene but not for them. The whistle blew and the four girls ran onto the train, not wanting to risk being late for Hogwarts.
"Wait! Say goodbye!" Hope shouted after her children, as Remus had also gotten pushed onto the train by James.
"So disrespectful at such a young age." Lyall said, shaking his head. "I'm so proud"
Hope huffed and turned on her heels to walk away. "Wait! What did I say? Did I do something wrong? Hope! Honey?" Lyall ran after his wife.
Once the train arrived at Hogwarts, the four girls full sprinted out of their carriage in order to get to the feast as fast as possible. Marlene and Luna, with their bottomless stomachs, were leading the pack. That is until Luna stopped abruptly, causing all three girls to slam into her. Alice even fell down.
