Scorpius hated pretending like he was straight and not totally in love with his best friend. The reason he hadn't told Albus was not because he didn't think he would accept him. Albus was gay so of course he would accept him. The reason he hadn't come out was because he was worried that if he did Albus would know he liked him. He couldn't let that happen because if that happened Albus wouldn't want to be his friend anymore. He would probably be completely weirded out that Scorpius thought their friendship was anything more then friendship.
He had no idea what to do about his feelings so he figured that if he just ignored them they might go away. He had tried to ignore the butterflies he got in his stomach when ever they hugged or even accidentally brushed hands. He had tried to ignore how all he could think about when he saw Albus was how perfect the boy was and how much he wanted to kiss him. He had tried ignore his hope that Albus would return his feelings. He had tried so hard but all it had done was make his feelings worse. At this point he wasn't sure what he was going to do, but whatever he did he could not let Albus know about his feelings.
