MC .POV.
I awoke to a soft nibbling on my ear, it was my brother the one I woke last night although he's still asleep, he must be doing it unconsciously, I got up everyone else is still asleep even mother and from the dull light coming into the burrow I can tell its early dawn, everyone should wake up sooner or later so I'll just wait until then.
I decided to go outside and see if the snake is awake yet, I crawled out of the burrow quietly and turned around to see one of the largest trees in the forest, it was huge at least two of three times bigger than all the other trees, I looked up into the glowing leafs above the branches and gently whisper.
"Are you awake?"
A little blur snake head pops out from the leafs, well I wouldn't call him small but in comparison to the tree size he's small.
"And I thought I was the only one up"
He responded in a mocking manner, I snickered a little as he slid down the tree towards me.
"So why are you up this early?"
"My brother woke me up, now I'm just waiting for mother to wake up"
I explained, he was on the ground now, he raised his head and made eye contact with me.
"While we wait I could tell you about some of the place we can go to today"
I nodded excitedly and laid down beside him with sparkling eyes, for around half an hour he told me of these exiting places he knew of some he'd been to and others he wanted to go to, he told me about cool things he found and the places he found them, it was all so exiting I couldn't wait and luckily I didn't have to mother poked her head out of the burrow.
"Alright boys you should go, your loud talking might wake my children"
Was I not your child to mother? Most kits my age would probably never think of living their mother even for one day but it looks like mother has enough trust in me not to get myself killed, I hurried of with my friend, he was ver slow so I picked him up and put him on my back, I turned my head so I could se him and asked.
"Where to next?"
He pointed me in a direction and off I raced, when we arrived I saw he had pointed me in the direction of a river it was beautiful, the water was so clear you could see the bottom and all the colourful gems there I noticed some clear ones to, which gave me an idea my friend was near sighted right? So what iff I tied some of the clear pebbles to his face, would that work? I gave it a try, I grabbed some nearby vines that were relatively small and two same sized pebbles, my friend looked very confused the whole time, I tied the pebbles with the vines and put it on his snout.
"How does it look?"
He looked at me confused for a while then realised.
"Wow I can see! I can see you I can see the water and the trees all the way over there! This is amazing!"
He seemed pretty happy with it, after his excitement calmed down we went and saw lots of different places, clearing full of new plants, giant rocks, lakes and ponds, there was even a water fall, every place was new and exiting bot of us were in awe at every new place, me because I had never seen these places, and my friend because he saw them in more detail then the last time he'd been there.
Then we found something, a human?
"Careful, elf come here sometimes if they see you they might attack you"
"Then lets just make sure they don't see me"
I said with a grin on my face, I didn't even know foxes could grin, but an elf a real elf no way am I passing up the opportunity to see an elf, I crouched down In the bushes and crept slowly and silently forwards, I edged closer and closer, I got close enough to see the elf in all its glory, that's an elf alright it's got long pointed ears and unparalleled beauty, one thing was bothering me he's so small, he would only stand up to the middle of my upper legs and I'm not even fully grown, either he's small or I'm big, I don't know which I prefer this worries me a little.
I guess I got to close because he saw me well at least I think it's male, he ran off towards the clearing yelling something I couldn't understand.
"I thought you said you wouldn't be seen"
"Oh, shut up you"
I crept over to the edge of the tree line and looked at where the elf ran to, more elf positioned defensively with staff and bows at the ready.
"Don't do anything stupid fox"
"If they attack me i will just run away, no one will get hurt"
This is getting more and more exiting.
