CH25. Age worries

MC .POV.

Ever since I caught yellow trying to impress me he's become more clingy than blue and white combined and they never leave my back well I don't mind since their all so cute, anyways its been a year or two that I've lived in this kingdom and i've spent almost every day in the library reading books on any topic that interested me, blue white and yellow have also taken to reading books and blue and white can read now much to their dismay as well as their constant complaining that reading isn't important, they often go of on tangents about how reading is a waste of time and so on and so fourth I just stare at them with deadpan eyes until they go the memo and shut up.

I'm now three years old but once I realised that I started to panic.

'wild foxes only live for two to five years right? No wait would I be considered a domestic fox since I Iive with elf? That would mean I can live as long as a domesticated cat with is around fourteen years or is it different because I'm a magical fox'

I rushed to the library as fast as I could to search for any books of magical foxes and figure out how much longer I have to live, I hurried to the beast section of the library and looked for any books on Canidae which is a grouping of jackals wolves and dogs, I found a book on wolfs I flipped through the pages and there was only different types of wolves where they lived and other information relating to wolves, saw-cutter wolf a wolf with blades growing out of its body sharp enough to cut trees, gem wolf a wolf that lives in caves and has a body hard as stone and can grow gems and crystals out of its back, but nothing on foxes so I continued looking which I have to say is difficult since all the books are elf sized and im much bigger than an elf so I often find myself straining my eyes.

"AHA! Found it!"

I startled yellow who was half asleep and sitting beside me but blue and white were still fast asleep its already past midnight which is our bed time since we wake up at midday and go back to sleep at midnight, I payed no attention to the now confused yellow and gently poked a smallish sized book off the shelf and carefully flipped the pages with my claws making sure not to accidentally tear a page.

"diet, behaviour, danger scale, age! Oh wait that's for a normal fox"

I flipped through some more pages.

"Snow fox, demon beast fox, grey fox, sand fox, why're there so many different foxes!? Ah! Here it is magical beast red fox"

I read every thing the elf had documented about my species of fox but when I got to the age section it looks like the elf don't know how long I'll live either, but they did know one thing about my age and that was that magical beast foxes are known to live longer than humans and the humans in this world live to be around thirty, forty if they were lucky.

"*sigh* that means I can live for around thirty more years awesome"

"Thirty years? How long will I live?"

"Huh? Well I suppose you will also live thirty years, cross foxes are just a colour variant of red foxes"

"YAY! I'll live as long as red will!"

Oh wow he is was too happy about that, well I suppose knowing you won't die before your friends is kind of a good thing even in my old life no one wanted to be suddenly told they would only live half as long as their friends would so I guess its something to get exited about, speaking of how long will blue and white live? We really need names but never mind that, from the books I read it looks like blue is in the same position as me and yellow however white may just die before the rest of us will and the book I read on magical beast weasels said that measles themselves don't live much longer than twenty years, BUT weasels can EVOLVE like P*kémon I guess and after they evolve they can live longer than one hundred years.

There are five stages to their evolution the first is the weasel the second is a ferret third is a badger fourth is a honey badger and the final evolution is the wolverine the king of Mustelids which are known to be fearless and a force to be reckoned with, that is if they can live long enough and get strong enough to evolve that far which more often than not they don't making it incredibly rare to see a wolverine and their aggressive nature means not many survive encounters with one.

It's good to know that the small weasel on my back could potentially evolve into an incredibly aggressive and bloodthirsty wolverine which are feared by almost every creature on this continent, maybe I should train blue and white to become stronger so they don't have to depend on me yellow can already fend for himself since he had been until he started following me around like a puppy, and I haven't really been interacting with the elf here I wonder where the girl elf I rescued from a branch and the elf I meet in the dungeon went and why haven't I thought of that before now, well the girl elf does come around to visit every now and then but I haven't seen the other elf since I came here.

A few more things to add to my check list I'm getting exited again.

Hey I am planing a part where each of the characters get proper names except I don't know what I should name them if you have any ideas please leave a comment.

Also I was supposed to mention last update that I would not be updating for two weeks but I forgot to add it, sorry about that but from now on updates will resume as normal.

but in the future i will update less and less, this two weeks has been used to start planing another novel i hope you understand.

I only have a vague idea of where this story will go so if you have any suggestions please tell me if I like you're idea i'll add it to the story
