Chapter 10

Hi guys I apologise for not writing in a while... This chapter will be back into Zoe's perspective ... hope you enjoy... :)

I was lost for words, I couldn't wrap my fingers around what Lillia had just told me. I was Flabbergasted and dazed. I was just...just...LOST! I was trudging along the forest at the back of the single file line. The sky was bright, but none of us could see the sun, and with every step we took we could hear the crunches of leaves and twigs, I could also feel the heat swirl around me,as if it was trying to get me to suffocate. In the front of the line there was Lillia, who seemed very happy and exited, for she was skipping and swinging her arms about. Second in the line was Pheebie, this is because she was the youngest I insisted that she should go second. (I was more worried for her safety more than anything) Third in the line was pretty boy, Noah, this is because, well he just insisted going next in line (I think it was more to get away, but I wouldn't worry about it because if i was him I would hate me too), Next in he line was Emma, the girl who is always so full of energy that I cant help but to smile, she was the second last in the line because I wouldn't let her go behind me even though she begged to go behind. Then out of absolutely nowhere the group came to a sudden halt and stumbled right into Emma, causing her to stumble and fall into Noah, who surprisingly stood his ground and didn't move. Each of us moved or heads out a bit to peek out at Lillia, who had her hand out in front of her, the symbol to stop and be quite. For many minutes we stood there waiting, then Pheebie worked up some courage to say quietly "Hey Lillia, whats going on?' Lillia Shook her head, then slowly turned to us with horror painted across her face, she then mouthed the words "run". 

All of us bolted, Horrified of what Lillia had seen or heard, you would have thought that we shouldn't be scared or running from something that we have no idea about, but anything that could cause Lillia that amount of fear plastered across her face is scary. As we ran I could hear all of our feet pounding against the dirt floor that was littered with leaves and twigs. I could hear the panting of my fellow companions, then I looked In front of me to look at Pheebie and check on her, for a second I didn't see her but then I realized that she was on Noah's back and Noah and that Noah was still running swiftly as if there was no added weight and then found myself blushing. I furiously shook my head and thought Stop it Zoe , it is no time to fantasies about boys right now, we are running from god knows what, and I can barley breathe. And then I stopped thinking about Noah and picked up my running pace. Then I stumbled and almost toppled over a root, but I fell into Emma who stood her ground and kept me standing. As we continued to run we came into a clearing and Lillia stopped in her tracks, this time I was prepared, and stopped from stumbling. Even though I didn't even come close to falling I was so close to Noah's back that if I moved a limb I would touch him. I was about to take a step back, but then he turned around and we came face to face with each other, we just stood there for a few moments, Noah staring at me with his eyes intensely, I blushed and turned away. I went over to check on Pheebie. " you ok?" I asked her Quietly

"yes" she replied with a hint of annoyance "you really need to stop worrying about me all the time, I can look after myself"

I nodded "okay" I continued to look around, looking for Emma, but I couldn't find her, so i walked up to Lillia " Hey Lillia, uuummm...do you know were Emma has gone?, oh and what were we running from?"

Lillia shook her head and smiled "you don't need to know what we were running from right now...And Emma has gone into the tree's to try get some food"

My face paled "what if she comes across that thing that we just ran away from"

Lillia's smile faded "I tried to warn h-" Lillia's voice got cut of as a girls scream rang through the forest- Emma's scream.
