To Defeat the Enemy Part 1

"What do we do Rosie?!" Harper was panicking.

"I'm not sure," Rosie said.

"I think it stopped for now," Max said as he started getting up along with Justin, Alex, Juliet, Mason, Zeke, and Felix.

"Are you guys ok?"

"We'll be fine Rosie," Justin told his girlfriend.

"Let's keep going," Max said.

"Are you guys sure you can continue?" Harper asked.  "If they activate it again, the seven of you would be vulnerable."

"We have to try," Juliet said.

"We're Ninjago's protectors," Mason added.  The others nodded.

"We need to keep moving," Max said and they continued to follow him.  They found the location they were looking for and it was a mysterious looking building that gave them an eerie vibe.  Max peeked through a window and caught a glimpse of a couple of the guys that worked for their enemies and a machine.  "This is the place.  They have some sort of machine that they must have been using against us earlier."

"What's the plan?" Justin asked.

Max thought for a minute.  "Two teams.  One will sneak around and disable the machine and the others will distract the bad guys."  Everyone nodded.  "I'll have my second-in-command, Alex lead the other team."

"You chose me to be your second-in-command?" Alex asked.

Justin fake coughed as he said, "biased."

"She can be calmer and more level-headed," Max said.  "Plus, she's also more mature."

"Thank you," Alex said.

"Whatever," Justin said.

"Alex, you take Justin, Rosie, and Felix with you," Max instructed.  "The four of you are all good when it comes to machines, so you should be able to take out that machine.  Juliet, Mason, Zeke, and Harper with me.  We need to buy them time."  Everyone nodded.  "Everyone be careful and stay safe.  Let's take them down once and for all."  Alex started leading Justin, Rosie, and Felix around back while Max lead Juliet, Mason, Zeke, and Harper to the front.  "Remember guys, we are the distraction.  We need to buy time."

"We're in position," Alex said throught the comms.

"Copy that.  Move in when we give the signal."

"What's the signal?" Zeke asked which received a smack on the head from his sister.  "Ow!"

"Our distraction you dummy," Juliet said annoyed.

"You didn't need to hit me."

"Then be more intelligent."

Mason couldn't help but laugh at Juliet's response to her brother.  "Break it up you two," he said.  "We have to focus on the mission."

"My brother is right," Harper said.  "Please stop arguing."

"Fine!" Juliet and Zeke said.  Max, Mason, and Harper rolled their eyes.

"Sometimes I'm so glad I'm an only child," Max said.  "Are you guys ready?"  The four ninja that he's with all nod.  "Let's do this."  The five of them snuck in, but were immediately spotted by Nathan, his dad, and Yuying.

"Well, well, well, look who's here," Nathan's dad said.

"Where are the others?" Nathan asked.

"They're not here," Max said.  "It's just us."

"It doesn't matter how many of you there are," Yuying said.  "I never liked you ninja or your parents.  That's why I joined up with these guys.  Now we'll take you down and the other elemental masters."

"I'll take Nathan," Max whispered to the ninja who were with him.  "Mason take Nathan's father.  Juliet take Yuying.  Zeke and Haper take the goons."  They nodded.  "Let's do this guys!" Max shouted and the five of them ran into battle.

Justin, Alex, Rosie, and Felix were all waiting for their signal and saw the others start fighting the bad guys.  "That's the signal," Alex said.  "Let's go guys."  The three follow her.  Rosie left her mech right outside, son she could sneak inside with them.  She made the mech so that it would be ready when she needed it.  The four of them snuck over to the machine.  "Rosie.  Felix.  Inspect it so we can figure out what we need to do."

"It looks like this machine is designed to be able to hurt elemental masters," Rosie said.

"It looks like there's some vengestone used in this machine, but it's used in a way no one has ever seen before," Felix said.

"If elemental masters are exposed for too long when the machine is activated, they could die."

"How do we disable it?" Alex asked.

"Alex, if this machine can kill elemental masters, then we don't need to disable it," Justin said.  "We need to destroy it."

"You're right...which is surprising."

"Do you want to do this now?"

"You're right.  It's not a good time, but don't expect me to say that again."

"Don't worry.  I'll be right about something again eventually."

Alex turned back to Rosie and Felix.  "How do we disable it so we can destroy it?"

"First, we need to disconnect the vengestone and then short circuit it," Rosie said.  The four of them immediately started working on disconnecting the vengestone.

Nathan glanced over at the machine while fighting Max.  "NO!!!" he shouted.  "Dad activate the machine!"

Nathan's father saw what was going on as he was fighting Mason and pressed the button to activate the machine.  "I can't let you do that," he said.  All seven elemental masters clutched their heads and fell to the ground.

"ROSIE!!!  HURRY!!!" Harper yelled.

Rosie finished disconnecting the vengestone and the machine turned off.  "JUSTIN!!!  NOW!!!" Rosie yelled.

Justin immediately jumped up and started using his lightning powers to destroy the machine.  "This is taking a lot of energy!" he yelled.

"Keep going!" Rosie encouraged.

"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!" Nathan yelled.

"You better believe it," Max said and continued fighting Nathan.

"Your friends may have deactivated the machine, but you won't be around much longer," Yuying said to Juliet.  Yuying caused a small explosion above Juliet and a piece of the ceiling started to fall towards her.

Mason saw what was happening.  "JULIET!!!" he yelled.  He ran towards her and caught the rubble.  He used his strength that came with his powers to hold it, but the piece was so big that it was clear it was heavy for him.

"MASON!!!" Juliet yelled as he was struggling.  Mason looked like he could give out at any moment.

This story is coming to an end with only 1 or 2 chapters left, but there will be a sequel!  I want to keep going with these next generation characters.  I will keep making more stories as long as I have ideas for them.
