Casual day in Japan, where humans with superhuman abilities, known as quirks are known everywhere. Well, almost known too much. Izuku was widely known as a torture and kidnapping victim, and one who possess powers that aren't quirks.
"Oi, your famous shithead," Bakugou called out.
The class 1-A boys were walking to school together since they all met each other on the way. Some of them were talking casually, why particularly two people gave each other death glares.
"Izuku!"
Izuku turned around and saw Momo. He smiled and ran towards her direction.
"Whose Izuku?"
After having their redemption date, Momo confessed truthly to Izuku. Izuku accepted those feelings and they started dating. Not only that, Izuku told Momo all about his past. They walked by the electronics store and saw the news. A few weeks ago, the world was exposed to the existence of deity's and devil's. The prime minister of Japan and heaven had an association and they were holding a Japanese style battle tournament, and U.A was going to pick 3 students to go and participate.
"Who do you think is going to fight against those heaven weirdo's?"
"I have a feeling it'll be you." Momo was sure that U.A would pick him.
They walked into class.
"Now come on, there is no way that U.A is picking-"
"Midoriya is the 3rd participant." Aizawa announced and the entire class looked towards Izuku.
"me.."
The rest of the week, Izuku was practicing more combo's and controlling his kagune. He knew that he would be going up against gods, so he would have to prepare himself truthfully. He even went studied blacksmith and Edgeshot a few time, to prepare for his ultimate move.
On the day before the competition, Momo and Izuku went to shopping mall for a date. They went to the arcade, watch some movies, shop, and eat. They went inside a cafe and sat down to rest.
"Hey, I got a present for you."
"Hm?"
Momo opened up the paper bag and pulled out the same exact replica of Izuku's old vest and suit.
"Now doesn't this bring back memories, thank you."
"Good luck in the tournament."
"Of course I'll win, you gave me a gift didn't you."
On the day of the tournament, Japan had floating screens everywhere to spectate the tournament. The entire of U.A were in the hall looking at the screen. The 1.A students made banners to cheer for Izuku.
"That guy got all the girls again."
"I guess we're dying as virgins."
Mineta and Kaminari started to pour tears in the corner.
Izuku was in the waiting room, trying to make sure his reflexes will be as fast as he wanted it to be.
The door opened and Kendo and Tamaki walked in, they were the other 2 participants. Kendo still tried to hide the blush on her face, still remembering the weird conversation she and Izuku had that time (refer to chap 2). As Tamaki starting chowing on some food, the screen lited up and the brackets of the tournament were released. Apparently Izuku was up against a goddess name Amaterasu.
"Be careful of her, she might just burn you to cinders."
"Yea right. I'm not letting her burn me when I'm wearing a present from my girlfriend."
Izuku got ready and stepped into a big stadium. It was very Japanese styled. The stage was covered with tatami, and there was a waterfall moat around it. Koi and sakura flowers could be seen in the moat. His opponent also came out, with flamed covered armour and a fox with fire.
"What are the Seven God's thinking, sending me to fight a kid."
Izuku smiled at the comment. "Then go easy will you? Pretty please~"
Izuku was trying to get his overhappy expression and behavior back, but that'll take some time. The refree announced the start, and in a flash Izuku was gone. Suddenly the firefox got attacked by nothing. Nobody was there to even go near it. This time her knee armour got dispelled. Suddenly a black figure appeared, and it went into the ground leaving Izuku up there. It was one of his moves called Shadow Threat. He runs fast with his mobility, then conceals himself in shadows, and attacks out of nowhere. Amaterasu got furious, and summoned a flame sword. She charged at Izuku, only to be greeted by an endless spray of knifes. The knifes surrounded her back as well then all stab her at once. This was another move Izuku created called Steal Connecting. He connects each knife with shadow strands so they would all stick together. Amaterasu had no more protection.
"YOU LOWLY HUMAN!!"
She summoned a huge fireball almost the size of Pluto. She threw it at Izuku, which made him grin. Izuku opened his mouth wide and pulled out a black coloured katana, with neon lime striped on the grip. The hilt was shape like knifes stabbing around a heart. He fused shadows into the sword and sliced the fireball easily. He then kicks Amaterasu in the stomach and aims the sword at the neck.
"If humans are lowly beings, then you should be embarrased after being defeated by a lowly creature."
He slinged the katana on his back and walked away, leaving the audience cheering crazily.
