Last night's royal duties ran into overtime. Hell, you didn't even get to sleep till 04:00 in the morning! Charlie came into check on you since it was unusual for you sleep past 10:00. You mumbled through your drowsy state claiming you would get up right now. Charlie ordered you to sleep longer before leaving quietly; you were clearly exhausted from whatever things you had to attend to yesterday.

That girl was too kind. You wanted to protect that innocent spark of hers. You were slowly getting up while taking extra time to pry open your eyelids. You recollected the memories from yesterday's events. After meeting up with Lucifer and Lilith at the palace, you made your way to the afterlife's courts by sky. Lucifer carried Lilith bridal style while you flew behind them to cover their rear- in case any unwanted violence was thrown their way. Lilith often glanced back to check up on you since you were still in wing therapy. The journey wasn't too painful since it was a short, but anything past 10 minutes would start to hurt.

You were nervous to meet God again, afraid of what They would think of you, but you still refused to shy away.

There was no greeting nor resentful lashings, God didn't even bat an eye at me... God really disowned you. They didn't want anything to do with you anymore, and the angels whom you thought of as friends now scrunched their noses at you with disgust.

You were hurt by their grimacing stares, but Lucifer and Lilith reminded you that they were your family now. Their gentle hands resting on your shoulders inspired you to stand with them proudly. You glared at anyone who dared thought about harming either one of your kin. The angels and God were obviously surprised by your growls, but that only solidified the fact that you were a dirty traitor in their eyes. A part of you was still upset that you were cast aside so quickly, but another part of you were glad to be in Hell.

Sometimes, you gotta be a little bad to do good. You were in a more flexible environment to make some real changes and help people.

You understood why the case was complicated, the boy killed his abusive parents in self-defense and to get his sister out of harm's way. However, when the police arrived, they completely misunderstood the situation and assumed the boy was killing his entire family.

In the end God won the case because the boy's last act was considered "self-sacrifice", an act that God favored very much and was a common way to get into heaven. Lucifer was slightly pissed that God used that same loophole to excuse murders whenever They wanted. Both you and Lilith got Lucifer out of there quick before things got heated.

The only eventful thing that occurred was when an executioner threw a spear at the back of Lucifer's head. The demon lord was aware of the attack and didn't flinch. You deflected the spear with haste and appreciated him for having complete faith in you. After that, you accompanied Lilith to kill some problematic lesser demons. You ranked up over $2,000 in bounties, splitting even with Lucifer to add to the palace's wealth.

You stared at your wallet lying on the nightstand, finally having the strength to open your eyes. Your family really didn't need the money since they controlled this domain. They could manifest currency whenever, but you gave it to them anyway since it would prevent them from wasting energy on miniscule tasks like that.

After getting ready in your more feminine maid outfit, you went downstairs to help with whatever chores needed to be done. Niffty did most of the work, leaving only you and Alastor to cook lunch for the crew. You both chatted about new cooking techniques and recipes like the usual -he even complimented your maid dress!- but your gut was telling you something was off. You brushed off the feeling for now.
