Chapter 1- The Ride

Eating, singing, chatting ang playing truth or dare with my friends; I hope this day will never end.

Since this might be the last day that we will be together, we made sure that this day will be a memorable one. Me and my friends went to Paradise Amusement Park, the best amusement park once can go to here in New York.

I spent the whole day with my friends, Vanessa, Danny, Sylvia and Zac. Since Paradise Amusement park is best known for its roller coaster, we tried that ride first. Vanessa and Danny sat on the first kart, followed by Sylvia and Zac. At first, I don't really want to ride with them because of 3 reasons. First, it's the first time that I will be riding on a roller coaster. Second is that I don't have someone to sit with me. And third is I have fear of heights. But my friends still insisted so I don't have any other choice but to join them.

Once I sat on the kart seat, I began to shiver and I decided to back out, but a boy sat beside me. He's very tall, looked very intelligent and very manly, yet I think he's the same age as me. He looked very brave and it's like he already tried this ride for several times. Yet I don't know why he's wearing a tinted black rayban shades. Suddenly he turned to me and asked.

"Hey miss are you alright?"

"Whhuuaaatt?"

"Are you alright? You look so scared"

"Uhmm.. Actually I really don't want to ride in this roller coaster for I am afraid of heights, but my friends forced me"

"Oh so is this your first time?"

"Yes"

"Well if you might ask this is my first time too because you know....my parents won't let me before."

"Really? But you don't look so nervous"

He just smiled at me and asked:

"So you live here in New York?"

"Yes...Uhmm you too?"

"Nope. Just for a vacation. But actually We live here before" he answered.

"Really?? Cool!"

He laughed and suddenly all our security belts were locked. During that time, I just accepted the fact that I am already riding the roller coaster and after a minute my life might already end. The bell rang signifying the start of the ride.

"Hey wait! Aren't you going to remove your shades?" I asked

"Oh yes. Thanks!"

By the time he removed his glasses, the roller coaster took off as fast as a lightning bolt.

Suddenly, I started feeling jittery. When we're already at the very top, my heart thudded so loud that I can hear it dearly in my ears. And slowly the kart moved and we're dropped. I felt like my stomach was removed and then returned once I'm already down. When I saw the loops, I closed my eyes and then I felt like I'm a bird, flying without wings.

When I opened my eyes, our track was already at the starting point and everybody was already vacating their seats. My friends pulled me towards the exit. Zac put his arms on my shoulders and teased me.

"Hey you look so pale. Don't vomit on me okay?"

"Shoo! Sylvia! You're boyfriend's teasing me again." I said

Sylvia just laughed and then Vanessa approached me

"Oh my gosh Ria! That's the best ride I've ever experienced"
