Chapter 4- I Promise

"Ria! Daddy's home! Come down here I have a surprise for you."

"Dad? Wait! I'm Coming!" I screamed

I rapidly closed my travelling bag's zipper and put it under my bed. Did I hear it right? Dad has a surprise for me? I can't wait to see it.

"I'll go back on you later! I'm going to see Dad first for my surprise!" I said as I put my clothes back to my dresser

"Ria!" Mom peeked in

"Dinner's ready. Your father's waiting for you."

"Mom! Did you see Dad's surprise?"

"Surprise??... Oh.. Yeah... So that's his surprised?"

"Mom! Are you saying anything?"

"No..no.. Yes I saw it!"

"Really? Is it my dream Iphone 4s? or the Laptop I'm asking you to buy? or is it a dog? or a ------"

Mom interruted me. "Baby! Just see it for yourself. But I'm sure you're going to love it! I promise"

"Yay!! Let's go downstairs now Mom!"

I hugged my Mom and swiftly ran down the stairs, very excited to see the surprise.

I saw my Dad heading to our dining room. I ran after him and hugged him.

"Welcome home Dad! Where's my surprise?"

My Dad smiled at me and looked at our dining room. I followed him as he walked along the hallway connecting our living room and dining area. With my fingers crossed I keep looking at my Dad's smiling face. Before I opened our Dining Area's door I paused for a while, closed my eyes and wished to see all my dream gifts inside our dining room.

"Ria! open that door now.." I heard dad whispering

I opened the door slowly... I saw nothing but a man and a boy sitting at our dining area staring at me. I pushed my dad away and ask him:

"Who are they?"

"Ria that's my surprise for you. Meet Mr Stark, Daddy's Boss and his son....your future classmate, Dylan." Oh Great!

I faked a smile and look at the two of them.

"Hi Mr. Stark I'm Ria." I said with my hand at my back.

Suddenly, I was alarmed by him because he hugged me.

"What on earth is he doing?" I said to myself

"Oh sorry" he said. "By the way this is Dylan my son"

Dylan smiled at me and hand in his hands. I just stared at him without saying anything.

"Ria!" Dad said

"Oh! Hi nice meeting you." I said while giving him a hand shake.

Actually all I can say is he's very charming. I was awestruck by his cute face, red lips, lovely smile and his dazzling blue eyes crossing on mine.

"So let's start eating now." Mom said

All of us grabbed our seats. I sat beside Mom and in front of me was Dylan. I realized myself still staring at him.

Our food were served and we started praying. After the prayer I reached out for the rice. When I touched the serving spoon, I felt Dylan's hand at the top of mine.
