Chapter 9- I'm Very Tired

The chirp of the birds was the first thing I heard when I woke up this morning. The sun streamed through the room's window. I streched my hands and opened my eyes when I realized that I was already in California.

Before taking a bath I decided to roam around Dylan's aunt's house. The big grand piano was the first thing that caught my attention when I go down the stairs. On top of it are picture frames in different sizes with different pictures on it. I viewed them one by one and I began laughing when I saw Dylan's picture when he's still 7 I think. Suddenly I felt someone's hands covered my eyes.

"Good Morning Dylan" I said while giving a soft laugh.

He rapidly removed his hands from my eyes and said

"Wow! How did you know it's me?" while giving me his confused look.

"Well that's how great I am" I answered

He stared at the picture I am holding.

"Hey!" he said while grabbing it swiftly from my hand.

I just kept on laughing after seeing how he reacted.

"By the way....want to see the whole house?" he asked

"Sure" I answered

He showed me the whole place: the Living room, dining room, kitchen, and my favorite of al the rooms here, their recreational room. There are arcade machines inside, billiards, and a big television almost covering one side of the room's wall.

"Ria it will be our first day of school later. Aren't you excited?" he asked

"Yes I am.Why don't we have our breakfast now so we can prepare for our class already? "  I answered

After eating and preparing for our first day in school, we're now ready to leave.  It only took us twenty minutes to arrive in Pennington High since our place is only 2 kilometers away from school.

I became more excited when I already saw the big black gate of the school. As we entered the noisy hallways, I could see many lockers and many students laughing, chatting and shouting, almost filling up the whole place with their noises.

Since Dylan and I are new here, we first headed at the school's office to get our schedule. I am very happy for all of them there are very nice and very accomodating. We were given a small paper with our name on top, and a table below with our subject schedules.

We were very happy after knowing that my schedule and Dylan's are all the same, maybe because we enrolled on the same day. But our last class schedule dawned me for we have different schedule.

The bell started ringing and all the students rushed inside their classrooms. Our morning classes were alright. It's full of introducing yourselves and at the same time teachers will introduce also. So during the lunch break, almost everyone was in hurry going to the canteen. So me and Dylan tried going there as fast as we could to avoid that lunch rush.

The canteen was pretty big and I'm very happy for that because all the students can be accomodated. Inside are so many stations, that almost all kinds of food are available, whether you're a hot and spicy enthusiast or a frozen delight lover. There are so many tables in which many  students can eat together and share meals.
