To be honest my dorm room wasn't that bad. The walls were beige and the room had a twin-sized bed and a small desk. I would probably end up buying some posters to decorate the place.
I spent the rest of the day on my phone not bothering to go to dinner. Of course, I couldn't fall asleep so I decided to go to the roof. The roof was my original safe place before I got caught sneaking up there.
When I got to the door that lead to the roof I heard some voices. I ignored them and opened the door to find Annabeth with some boy. They immediately saw me.
"Katelyn! Hi!" She said, surprised to see me.
"Annabeth! Hi," She was the last person I wanted to see at the moment, "I was just leaving. Enjoy your night!"
"Wait hold up!"
Shit.
"Come sit with us!"
I really didn't want to but for some reason I did. Annabeth and the boy had a silent conversation with their eyes. I couldn't tell if it was a good one or not.
"Look I don't wanna bother you-"
"No, it's fine! Just thinking up here." Annabeth smiled. There was something different about her. She wasn't as perky as she usually was.
I fake yawned. "Actually it's getting pretty late I should go. Thanks for the invite though,"
Something flickered across Annabeth's face and it almost looked like disappointment. It was gone before I could be sure. I left the rooftop but I didn't go back to my dorm, instead, I stayed under the door and eavesdropped.
"So that's her?" Someone, I was guessing the boy, said.
"Yeah, it's her," Annabeth answered.
"So what now? How do we get her to camp," I had a feeling they were talking about me which did not make me feel good. What camp do they mean? Were they gonna kidnap me?
I left before I could be creeped out anymore.
I know I've been gone for like three months and I'm REALLY sorry but let me explain, for like a month and a half I had a huge writer's block and I couldn't write anything, then I got over it and worked on my actual book I'm writing outside of this, and then I had a lot of school work but I have a break now so it's all good.
So Katelyn heard them oooooo. What's she gonna do now?
This was kind of a short chapter sorry
Also, this is set two weeks after staff of hermes so if I made a reference to heroes of olympus ignore it
